“Enchanting & alluring!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

A very well executed Moroccan ethnic theme is showcased throughout the resort. Great attention to details. All the little details reinforce one another into a synergy of delightful experience. Villa Maroc is a preferred photoshoot venue choice for Thai newlyweds. But when my wife and I stayed here, the sight of newlyweds from Hong Kong checking in and doing their photoshoot in their wedding gown, tuxedo and change of attire is a clear testimony of the resort's photogenic reputation!

Located along a quiet and idyllic beach, the resort's ethnic architecture and facade colours give the location its own identity. Stepping into the resort is like entering a riad in Marrakech Medina. Our Pool Court room was cozy with a panoramic beach and sea view while overlooking the courtyard, fountain and pool.

As the resort is subjected to weather and sea elements, doors and windows of our room show signs of wear and tear. In the bathroom, spots of painted woodwork near wet areas were flaking and revealed the wood beneath. But overall in the room, these were considered minor as the rest was well maintained.

Meals in Casablanca were good. We had the specialty Moroccan style braised lamb for dinner. The big serving was so good that we finished it. During our stay, we tried all 3 breakfast sets which were cooked to order. We also enjoyed their Moroccan high tea which served an assortment of petits fours on a 3-tier display stand. The restaurant also served Thai food.

When in Morocco, do as the Moroccans do. In Sherazade Hammam & Spa, we enjoyed a steam bath and this was followed by a gentle body scrub, all taking place in the dimly lit 2-storey high domed hammam. We considered this was the best steam and body scrub treatment we had. After the invigorating scrub, we were ushered to the massage room for an oil massage. This is a must try! Thanks to our 2 therapists for a wonderful treatment.

My wife and I have stayed in many nice hotels in our travels, and we find the staff here a wonderful team. They were courteous and friendly. Not all speak English well but they have a genuine desire to make your stay memorable. Thanks to GM Tunnop for his hospitality. Above all, our special thanks to Khun Nok, Front Office Manager, for her arrangements and personalized attention.

To those seeking a unique and themed hideaway, this is highly recommended.

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the hotel is very unique, stunning decoration and best interior design. I stayed here with my friend and we stay in the same building which was great. My room has connected to the swimming pool just opening the window and the swimming pool was very close to the sea.

stunning location and so much to see within the hotel. Beautifully imagined with peace and tranquility to restore sanity. We loved the privacy and quiet with the feeling that we were the only guests staying there. Welcoming refreshing tea, hand written welcome note, attentive but discreet staff, wonderful rooms with amazing bathrooms, Ipod with docking station and even pictures on the wall worth looking at. The colours and textures of the building materials, flowing water and mosaics in the grounds with shaded eating ares and wide variety of plants made walking through the grounds always pleasant on the eye. Possibly the best breakfast ever - cereals I've never seen, home made yoghurt, apricots and figs plus eggs Benedict and real bacon with smooth coffee. The Maroccan food was delicious and I thought the prices reasonable for the quality of the food.
The only down side was the roof top infinity pool - this has not been used for some time and obviously a sanctuary for birds. I understand the difficulty in keeping this useable but perhaps one of the pools should be kept for use.
Overall one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. A trifle expensive but worth it for those special occasions.

Room Tip: If you take the Courtyard rooms go for the 2nd floor

Villa Maroc is a north African theme hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff as well a valet service, our room were nicely decorated. The room were kept absolutely clean and spotless. Ipods were provided with a mix of music, flat Screen TV hidden in a chest.

The area reflect the Arab word Paradise by being a walled in enclosure with a fountain, actually many fountains. From the porch there is direct access to the Gulf of Siam. The weather was with us so every evening we had the sound of rolling waves breaking along the beach, love the sound so healing, felt like cleaning of one´s soul.

My only comments is the resort if a bit for the hip crowd, for elderly and impaired people there are to many steps.

Lovely place for a romance and photos with the bride. Staff is great.

I didn't expect for anything but escaping from a mob in Bangkok but it appears to be a heaven on the Earth. all services and facilities are fantastic. The hotel is well-maintained and absolutely romantic. It was almost empty the day we checked-in so we felt like it was our private hotel. Good for us not for the hotel! We spent all the time staying in the hotel and using all facilities but, if you plan to explore Hua Hin, this hotel is quite far from the city. However, if you seek for quiet and beautiful place, especially for a honeymoon, I'd highly recommend this place. They even provide a wedding photography and wedding party which should be reserve in advance.

Room Tip: We got a pool villa (P1) which is a duplex; living room and spa room on the 1st fl. and bedroom and...

It's really disgusting how this hotel is dumping sewage water onto the beach at the south end of the property. Stinky, filthy sewage water runs from the hotel onto the beach and out into the sea. I'm not sure how anyone can eat at the Thai restaurant next door, Tonto's, as the breeze blows the stench into the dining area. On a south wind the stink goes directly into the Villa Maroc swimming pool area. The owner of the hotel is one of Thailand's wealthy individuals having made a massive fortune on his green tea drinks sold in the mass market. One would think he could afford to spend the money needed for a proper water and sewer treatment system for his 5 star property.

Room Tip: Not sure if there are any rooms where you would smell the stink from the sewage water the hotel is d...

We went on a family trip by choosing this place due to the tranquility as Pranburi is located far from Hua Hin - where it is very crowded recently. The driving distance is quite far so if you come from Bangkok, the early start would be recommended. The hotel is located next to the beach. The decoration and design is unique with the Morracan style, per se. We stayed at 2 bedrooms-villa sitting right next to the swimming pool. The hotel is small which would suit those travelers looking for the private and personal facilities where they could enjoy the getaway time with friends and family. The rooms wer quite spacious with one master bedroom where the living area is located and having a small restroom inside. The other room would share the main bathroom where there is both bathtub seeing the seasight next to the window and the shower. The main bathroom is located in the middle of two bedrooms with more than enough space. The downside is that both rooms could not connect to the bathroom so the guest needs to step out of the bedroom to use the bathroom services. Talking about food and beverages, beside the breakfast with small buffet line but guests could order from a la carte menu as well, the food was just so so. However, the chic experience is on the roof-top bar at night where you could zip your beverages - beer, wine, cocktails with the clear sky and ton of stars above your head. If you are looking for a place where you could spend quality and quiet time with your loved ones and you do not prefer crowded places like Hua Hin and Cha-am, Pranburi @ Villa Maroc is one of your great choices.
