“Gorgeous hotel but definately an airport hotel”
Reviewed April 1, 2011

This hotel is stunning, especially for the price. The location is suited for the airport but nothing else. If you get a cab from Bangkok it is likely they won't know where it is (as happened to me) so I would recommend booking the shuttle. The shuttle for my early morning flight was very convenient. The room service food was lovely and there were great cocktails.

Hotelshuttle (Suvarnabhumi Airport > Hotel) arrived on schedule at the airport, we could also use it during our stay as "interconnection" to the city link train to get into Bangkok city fast and easily. The staff was very courteous and cooperative across-the-board. All in all I can only recommend this hotel, not only as stopover between flights...

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night in February. While the price and the airport accesibility make this a great hotel, we were unfortunately robbed. We arrived late at night and decided to have dinner in the restaurant, we were maybe gone for 45 minutes, then again we left the room in the morning for breakfast for approx 1 hr. We left the hotel for Phuket and upon arrival , I discovered my pearl necklace was missing. It's worth noting that my bag was locked, so it couldn';t have been the baggage handlers at the airport.

I wanted to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and waited til we returned to Melbourne to thoroughly check my jewellery box at home, however the peals were missing.
We contacted the customer contact department at Best Western International and made them aware of the problem, however they did not offer any resolution and stopped all communications. I understand they have to consider many legit or not-so-leggit requests for missing/stolen goods, however the theft left me with a very bad impression of the hotel chain and how they handle these complaints.

Very disappointing as these were heirloom pearls. I will not recommend this hotel. If you stay there however, make sure you keep your bag locked at all times, my trusting nature for 45 minutes saw me lose a precious family jewellery piece.

Stayed here for one night (more like a few hours). Not too far from airport, as a transit passenger I would not want any hotel further out than this one. As I said we were there only a few hours so not too much to say positive or otherwise about this hotel. Very nice room. They have a good shuttle service so I guess thats all you really need to know.

Very pleasant hotel. Very efficient shuttle bus to and from airport. Rooms nice and clean. Evening meal and breakfast both good. Perfect for overnight stay. We stayed there on two occassions in space of a week and would recommend to anyone catching early morning flights like us!

If you have a couple of days then go into Bangkok, but if it's just a stopover, you can't go past this place for comfort, convenience and value. We stayed here twice on our way to and from Europe and loved it. The free airport shuttle is a good start. It runs on time too. Then the check in process is smooth and calm (a good description for the whole place really). Our room (for $72 per night) was large, well appointed and very clean. The attractive pool deck was a great place to swim and relax after a long flight and the hotel restaurant was excellent. A bit expensive compared to street stalls perhaps, but actually quite good in comparison to other hotels/resorts in the major tourist spots of Thailand. Cold beer on tap in the bar, helpful staff and a feeling of peace and tranquility throughout the hotel. What more could you want?

Stayed here for 1 night. Here the pros and cons of Best Western.

Pros:
- Free airport shuttle bus
- Hotel is nearby airport (maybe 10 minutes in car)
- Hotel is mainly peaceful and well kept
- Rooms are big enough
- Good bed
- Big enough bathroom
- Excellent price value (some deals close 70 USD per night)

Cons:
- Had to wait for the airport shuttle for quite some time
- Some aircraft noise may disturb (especially during day time)
- Service was bit frosty
- Hotel atmosphere is bit cold vs. normal places I have stayed in Thailand
- Dull view from my room towards some baracks

All in all had very satisfactory stay in Best Western. Could recommend this hotel warmly to any frequent traveler. All cons are minor. I likely will stay in Best Western again in coming months.
