Let me start by saying that I know that accommodation in this part of the country is expensive. However we were terribly disappointed by our experience here. For over US$100 per night per person we expected much more. First, our reservation was mixed up and we didn't get the family room that we had reserved, instead we were put in two doubles. Second, the food was mediocre at best. They ran out of some items at dinner (there were only about 10 people staying that night), and the morning breakfast consisted of cold eggs and greasy, cold bacon by the time it arrived at our table. Third, the rooms themselves were dirty. Not just dusty (to be expected in this area) but dirty, mouldy, and grimy. Fourth, the "waterhole" is, in fact, a 1mx1m goldfish pond that was visited by a few birds and 3 springbok while we were there. Fifth, the winds brought a terrible smell of pig (or chicken or sheep?) manure for the whole time we were there. I know this is a working farm, but this was horrible and we couldn't walk far or go outside without the stench sending us back into the room. Sixth, the design of the facility was similar to a 1950s motel in North America. The photos on the website make it look like a "guest ranch" but it is, in fact, a very average motel. Finally, the staff were very aloof and not helpful at all when we asked questions. So our experience at Weltevrede was very, very different than the rest of the postings here. I was expecting so much more for the money as this was one of the more expensive places we had stayed at in Namibia. But it just didn't deliver.
