After hearing great things about Mykonos, my husband & I booked 9 nights in what we thought was a 5 star hotel in Mykonos. To start with it is 9 nights too long.
Breakfast is a disgrace. If you are expecting 5 star treatment & food, think again. It is very cheap food, no variety. If food runs out, it is not replaced, so don't come to breakfast late. The chef is dirty. We ate watermelon that tasted like onion because the chef obviously didn't wash the knife & cutting board between preparation of different foods.
For coffee lovers forget drinking decent coffee. There is filter coffee, which tastes like cigarette buts. If u would like a coffee from the machine u get charged. Really? We are paying $600 a night & u are going to charge for a coffee from your machine, what a joke. Even the coffee from the machine tastes like rubbish.
In Our first room, every time u showered the floor waste & toilet consistently flooded, so forget having a shower.
When we moved to a different room, the air conditioner leaked & flooded the bedroom.
What can I say?
Not very enjoyable.
We will never come back to this hotel EVER!
This island is windy 24/7 & we were not aware of this.
We have a balcony, but we can't even sit on it & enjoy the views.
If we could have left after day 1 we would have!

Wow and wow! The rooms are just amazing. Modern but with the Cycladic character. The balcony was our favorite spot! the view, the breeze the quietness..just loved it!!

Great service!

Breakfast was ok - nothing spectacular but having it in the balcony and have a view of the town and the beach was most important!

5 mins walk to Ornos beach which is still close to city centre!

It would definitely be our choice when again in Mykonos!

Room tip: the 5 range..yes you need to walk some more stairs..but the view is totally worth it!

Really happy with this hotel, the Reception staff, driver and restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly.
The location is perfect, slightly up and away from the busy centre, with a really short walk to get to the beach.
Beds were comfortable, decent showers, effective air con, and great views.
Easy convenient bus ride into Mykonos town, and beach taxi to other Southern beaches

We stayed at The Deliades Hotel this past July and had such a wonderful experience there! Located in Ornos, this charming hotel overlooks Ornos Bay and is about a 2 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The hotel has an understated elegance to it, with a beautifully tiled lobby area, a charming pool overlooking the Bay, and twisty, winding stair cases that lead everywhere over the property. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful and the checking in/out process was a breeze. Maria, Nana and Marcos in the restaurant were such a pleasure to be around! They were fun and very interesting to speak with and always had smiles on their faces. The only negative thing for some may be the number of steps if your room is on the higher floors. We stayed on the 5th floor and boy, it was tough getting up there some days! But the views and the breeze were well worth it. We did stay in a room that was described as a 2 bedroom jr suite, which to my thinking is 2 separate bedrooms with a common space. What we got was a large room with 2 beds and a couch and a small, separate sleeping room with a twin. It worked out fine for us, as we were traveling with 2 teenagers and I was happy to take up the small bedroom to avoid everyones snoring. But it may not work out for others. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It was beautiful and clean with a wonderful staff and excellent food and drink!

Room tip: Upper floors have the best views but you will need to climb a lot of stairs to appreciate them!

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to accommodate us, at little notice they found a low level room for us and stored our baby's stroller. We received a pickup from their driver collecting us from an apartment we were staying at beforehand, whereas most properties will only collect you if you are arriving from the airport. The room was very spacious with a large balcony overlooking Ornos and the beach. The location is central to restaurants, shops and the beach. It is however on a steep hill and there are lots of steps to get up to the rooms. I would advise requesting in advance a lower level room if with children for instance. It was quite breezy at the restaurant, which was outside by the pool so bring appropriate clothing as this is where breakfast is held. I found breakfast very basic and the hotel was a bit over priced, but standard for the island.

Room tip: Choose a lower level room if with children. All views are great as set high.
