Very very average food, long wait plus the horrible lights! I was expecting some awesome food but left with disappointment.

This was recommended to us by friends who had visited a few years earlier. We were especially interested in the fresh seafood. It was confirmed by a local taxi driver that the crabs, lobsters and fish are all frozen. The chilli mud crab was nice but certainly not the best I've ever had.For twp people the bill was $230.

Had the stuffed prawns first night there that were pretty good and heaps cheaper than the resort down the road. Silly me had the sirloin second night.....oops, bad mistake. Do yourself a favour and dont order any meat dishes, I dont think they get very good quality meat over there so stick to seafood, even if your sick of it evey night like I was. Didnt think that was possible) I think they could lose the pink lighting as well, feels like a sleezy Kings Cross joint. All in all not bad and a lot cheaper option to the resorts.

The food was authentic and well priced.
We visited this restaurant twice during our 8 night stay at the Shangri La.
First visit we indulged in the seafood options of lobster and mudcrad..which was well cook and delicious. The second visit we took the curry option which again was terrific.
Don't let the décor or shop front put you off...the food was great and you BYOG....warning however the bottle shop across the road doesn't have a very good selection of white wine..but of course good local beer.
