Our rooms on the ground floor had heavenly little terraces facing the impressive palm tree garden - even during the daily rainfall it was a joy to sit outside en watch the hundreds shades of green tremble in the winds. Rooms (two) were spacious and comfortable, bath room a bit run down but fully operational. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet with lots of fruits, cereals and all kinds of hot food. Dinner buffets were OK, except voor de traditional Fijian evening: too much of a circus and mediocre food. No external restaurants nearby, but public buses to town and other villages stop right in front of the resort.
Outside paradise is everywhere: white sandy beaches lined by palm trees, coral reefs with lots of tropical fish right in front of you, kayaking, snorkeling, hammocks, etcetera. If you walk beyond the invisible borders of the resort you will see shacks under the palm trees were you get your drinks, snacks and massages for less than half the resort price. Or go there just for a chat with the locals.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor garden room: the view is impressive and you don't have the noise a nightl...

We went here for a wedding, which was sensational, but the things that struck me the most about the Warwick were:
- Size - it is a big resort but not enormous so you dont feel lost.
- Great facilities
- Drinks & food package - this is a winner. Buy the food pack at home and upgrade to drinks when you get there though as it works out a bit cheaper.

Only downside was the distance from the airport, took us 2.5hrs in a mini-van to get back when we left. Having said that, I found the staff and service better here than other resorts I've been at in Fiji, whether this is a result of that distance or not, I dont know.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room overlooking the ocean

Just spent a week at the Warwick. We were there when the naviti had the fire so everyone from naviti where brought over to the Warwick. The resort still ran smoothly and the staff handled the influx well. This is my second time at the Warwick and I enjoyed it just. Much as the first. My only complaint is the prices. Especially the cocktails. $20 for a cocktail at the Warwick but if you go to the naviti they are only $12.50. That is a huge difference. Enough to make me consider the naviti or somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: We had room 147 on the nadi side. Right by the pool and activities area. We loved being amongst it a...

A friend and I stayed here in the last week of October and had a wonderful time, be prepared though it will take you 2 hours to get to the resort.
We just wanted somewhere to unwind and relax and went with attitude "just go with it" and thats exactly what we got. We had a room on the Nadi side with a garden and ocean view from our balcony. The room was good, quiet and comfortable with 2 double beds, our cleaning lady Basilisa was just great and made sure they were always serviced and we never had a problem with towels as I noticed before on this site.
We got the food inclusive which covered all the meals (or credit if you used the restaurants instead) big thumbs up for the tepanyaki and the wicked walu but be prepared the credit is only $55 fjd and a seafood platter at wicked walu for a couple was $200fjd but looked awesome. We always managed to find some thing that was mostly covered by the vouchers. Couldn't fault breakfast and lunch, the buffet could be a bit hit and miss but I always found something to eat.
We worked our way through the cocktail menu and lets just say they could be a little heavy handed with rum, but more to our pleasure (big hello to Wana for keeping those driks coming), the cocktails were $20 fjd so average price when converted. A soft drink will set you back $7fjd but just to the right of the resort there is a couple of little shops that do massages, hair braiding, and sell drinks. A 2.2L soft drink bottle is sold for $7fjd so we stocked up there for our mixers.
The snorkelling is great, the fish variety is amazing, we took out own snorkel and mask but you can get them at the resort. Take reef shoes though, getting in and out of the water can be a bit rough on the feet because of the broken coral, and don't forget an underwater camera because you really want photos.
Every couple of days I'd get a voucher for the internet for my phone ($11fjd for half hour) just so I could keep family updated and download photos. You could get longer but I didn't want a phone ringing I was on holidays.
Did use their spa for the stress reliever massage ($270fjd for 90 min) and can definitely recommend it.
The absolute best thing about the Warwick is the staff, from reception to bar staff they are truelly wonderful, nothing was too much of an issue even if it is on fiji time but relax your on holidays. I didn't have any kids with me but so enjoyed watching them interact with the other guests kids, you could always spot the activities guys because there was always a horde of happy kids following them.
Would definitely stay here and can't wait to take my family back because I think it would be an even better experience in a big group.

We've just returned from our daughter's wedding at The Warwick and were thrilled with every aspect of our week there.
Our family & friends thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was great, the staff wonderful and the hotel perfect for both holiday and wedding.
Una, the wedding co-ordinator was fantastic! Nothing was a problem.
We spent a week there and didn't want to come home.
The rooms, the restaurants, the pools, the beach - all met our expectations.
Would recommend it highly!
Thank you for making this special time just perfect!

Room Tip: Suva wing nice & quiet and easy access to adult only pool which was our preferred pool.

In 1992 we and our two little ones spent 1 week at the Warwick in Fiji and we enjoyed it so much that we came back 2 years later. In 2012 we planned to re-live the experience, this time as a second honeymoon, without the kids.
Driving from the airport to the Warwick we thought time has stood still. Nothing had changed. The roads were worse then we remembered them. Or was it just that our hotel transport vehicle was almost falling apart of old age? Most of the houses along the street were still small huts made out of corrugated iron.
After 2 hours of torturous drive we arrived at the Warwick Resort - the place and feel of the rooms had not changed and still looked good. The beds were comfortable, but that’s where it all ends.
When you open the door to your room, an overpowering smell of mold hits you right there and then. There was no shower, only a bath tub that smelled of sewer from the drain; the tile grouting was dirty; the bath tub had been repaired leaving strange grubby locking marks. Old yellowing shower curtains did not make us feel like being in a 5star resort. The bath room makes you feel like a 3 star resort at the most. It probably has not been updated during the last 20 years.
We had booked and paid for their advertised value meal vouchers. It was advertised to include all lunches and dinners. When we arrived we were given 5 vouchers for lunch and 5 vouchers for dinner even so our itinerary showed we are staying 6 nights and 6 lunches and dinners should be included. We were given the 2 extra vouchers after letting them know, but easily could have missed out if we had not counted the voucher there and then.
Later at the restaurant we were told that dinners included are only of a value of up to FD55. Also the lunch vouchers could only used in 2 restaurants and then only to the value of FD30 per person; this was no-where mentioned in their promotion.
Then we asked for internet connection - yes, it is available at a cost of FD81 for 7 days per device. As we were staying 6 nights we bought one seven day internet voucher. When we logged on for the first time, we found out that the voucher is valid for seven days or 3GB which ever runs out first. This was also not mentioned to us by their friendly staff when we bought the voucher. What a rip off! Calling the family at home guzzled up almost 1 Gb in 20 minutes, making it a very expensive phone call. On the second day we could not log on anymore as our Voucher ID was apparently used by another device. After complaining about it, we had to wait until late at night before some ‘IT specialist’ handed us a new voucher. The strange thing was that with this voucher a 20min Skype call only used 0.2 Gb. Strange!
Compared to Indonesia, Fiji is too expensive, as it does not offer any better holiday experience. Car hire was FD160 per day for a small car plus insurance, a block of chocolate was FD 16 at the hotel shop, a small bottle of water FD 6, a guided bike tour to the neighbouring Naviti resort was FD 20 per person, the gym was FD 10 per visit, a game of Bingo was FD10 per head and so the list goes on.
As there is nothing around in walking distance of the Warwick, one has to purchase everything at inflated prices. To get out of the resort one has to buy overpriced tourist tours or hire a car if you don’t want to be stuck at the resort for the duration of the holiday.
The food and drinks were overpriced and only average in quality; Wicked Waku was the exception, the breakfast buffet had a poor selection of bread, mostly white, no whole or multi grain. Only one kind of cheese available, no Camembert etc. The cold meat looked unappetizing.
The resort might be still ideal for parents with young children as children eat and sleep free at the resort. The staff loves children and a lot of entertainment is offered for kids.
Maybe that’s why we were happy 20 years ago, but in the mean time we have experienced so many beautiful and more affordable holiday destinations, so in comparison, the Warwick is totally overpriced if you don’t travel with children and did not live up to our expectations.

Room Tip: Go for the garden view. You get the same ocean view from there as in the ocean view room and it is a...

Dear Mbj52

A very warm and lovely greeting from the entire team of the Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa! We sincerely thank you for providing us with your candid feedback in-regards to your stay with us.

It is disappointing to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. While we never want to hear that someone's stay is less than perfect, we always appreciate the opportunity to hear from our guests on what we can do to improve our services.

I would like to take this moment to also apologize for the experiences you encountered with the couple of departments; these issues are not normal ones for our Resort but just the opposite. We pride ourselves on providing the utmost in guest service as well as a quality experience and we have always found ourselves to be successful most of the time. I have discussed with appropriate department heads on the issues mentioned and be assured that proper measures has been put in-place to eliminate such issues in future.

Mbj52, thank for your concern over the cost of things in the Resort, while we do try and make sure that we are competitive in our own market it is very difficult to price ourselves compared to other countries and destinations.

Thank you once again for providing us with your candid feedback and choosing us for your holiday. We certainly do hope that you will reconsider staying with us in near future.

The warwick was better than we could imagine. The staff were just wonderful. Our kids fell in love with the kids activity staff .. Zac and CK in particular. Evi at the pool bar was very nice. " no pressure" was a funny guy and made us feel very welcome. On two occasions we met Nazir Ali the chef on asian night ..., the best chicken stir fry ever. I would highly recommend the warwick. Hope to be there again in the near future.
