Description: The only sea food cafe on the beach at Cox's Bazar with music as its back drop. The cafe management is strict on serving organic food and well known for pampering the guests. The place where full moon parties are a common scenario with the roars of the sea playing as DJ. If you want to dine with a view of the beach, with the sound of the sea, so close to the beach that your toes are in the sand, there is only one place to go to in Cox's Bazar - The Mermaid Café! On the beach between Shugandha and Kolatoli Beach, opposite Uni-Resort, the Mermaid Café has great food. When you add great food to an unbelievably great location, the Mermaid Café offers a dining experience in Cox's Bazar, second to none.

I was there on the 14th February (same date as another reviewer). The service was terrible and the food was worse. Two members of our party were not served what they ordered. The mosquitos were bad despite the spraying. Were we at the same place?

We went to this restaurant after having dinner at Dhaka location. The purpose was to have that delicious freshly cooked crab that we had in Dhaka.
The ambiance was excellent, background music, beach setting, candles, polite and attentive staff.
For thee sensitive to mosquito bites, they would start a special coil.
Shisha lounge is on the premises.
We went in the evening, I bet the place is a lot nicer during the day time.
Definitely recommended!

Cox's Bazar is inundated with tourists now a days, sign of a growing middle class so yay but it can get a bit much if you want some peace. Mermaid is walkable from the main hotel strip and a little oasis of calm. Decent decor, friendly service but prices on par with premium restaurants in Dhaka.

Fantastic fresh food, great service. Restaurant is in a great location on the beach but very clean, food very fresh - fish is so good. Highly recommend a visit.

Their ambience designed in unique light and shade fashion is beautiful and dreamy; food variety very good; good mosquito control in outdoor setup; they serve fast; staff are helpful & courteous; price super super exorbitant; still for one dinner in a tourist place when you are in a holidy mood, this proved to be value for money
