Big disappointment. This very old hotel looks idyllic in this historic block of houses of the same era but is spoilt inside by so cheap furniture and details that would look cheap even in a road side motel. In our "suite" everything was as low quality and cheap as possible and nothing matches the style of this old building. This room and the hotel requires delicate touch and understanding which is totally lacking. I don't bother to list the bad parts because it includes all the furniture including soap dispensers, bins, toilet seat. This is something that a poor student might buy to a flat to be used just for a short term.
The outside stairs at the open air inner court where also totally wrong and of cheap quality.
Still we paid a decent hotel room price...
The man at the reception - possibly the owner - was not welcoming nor polite. Also the young woman at the breakfast room did not greet anyone or actually pay any attention to the guests.
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you don't care about the style and quality issues, then why not go to a 50% cheaper motel where the floors don't squeak.

This is a great little hotel in the heart of the older part of town. We had a car and parking is available either right outside the hotel (weekends only) or in a nearby car park. The owner is a quiet, affable man who is happy to give suggestions about what to do while here. We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - so far one of the best places we've stayed in Sweden.

Room Tip: Consider an upgrade to the Wallander Suite - very spacious room.

More like a B&B than a Hotel. The bathroom wasn't really clean (hairs in the corner), Breakfast isn't professioal enough for that price and a hotel. Bad Wifi Conntection.
Building is very nice, rooms are nice, a lot of parking possibilites nearby

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and highly recommend it for its charm, quiet, comfortable rooms and great location. The hotel owners were very helpful and breakfast is quite tasty.

Room Tip: The Schönström suite gives you a lot of space - two floors! - and a gorgeous whirlpool tub.

We stayed one night and found this hotel to be very well located. We were right in the center of town. Parking was not far away. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. We were very comfortable there. The breakfast was very good. We recommend this hotel.

A really special old-fashioned cosy place to stay. The staff could be a bit friendlier and warmer, and not so "Nordic". Breakfast was nicely done in a great breakfast room.

A quirky hotel spread over two half-timbered and rickety-looking buildings in the middle of the old town. Our room was spacious, sunny, comfortable and attractively decorated and had two large windows overlooking a pretty enclosed garden. However, storage space was pitifully lacking – the clothes rack was barely a foot wide (for a double room) and there was no chest of drawers.
Public rooms and bedrooms were furnished with reproductions of paintings from Leonardo to Andy Warhol (our room boasted an Emil Nolde and a Paul Klee). One nice touch was that tea and (instant) coffee making facilities were left in the breakfast room for you to help yourself at any time.
