“wonderful stay”

This hotel is every bit as good as it's reviews. We had an enjoyable three night stay which was enhanced by the friendly and helpful owners. They obviously love what they do, it comes across in their enthusiasm for the area and place. They gave us lots of help in what to see, how to get there, and general info about the area. Breakfast was awesome on the upper deck, especially the waiter.....thank you Glen and Stephanie. The room was spotless and comfortable and a good size. Steps to the beach and many restaurants. Thanks for a great stay, we would love to come again.

A really welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Stunning views from the high balcony, spotless, really good sized rooms with high quality fittings. As mentioned by many others, Glen, Stephanie and the rest of the staff went out of their way to be helpful to all guests.
'I'll be back'.

Room Tip: Rooms 107, 108 and 109 have the best views

We chose Hotel Estia because of all the consistently good reviews ... and we weren't disappointed. Our room (109) was spacious, clean and well-equipped, including a sofa, TV, fast-boiling kettle and a small dining table and chairs. The bathroom had a bath as well as a shower over the bath. The bed (actually two beds pushed together) was comfy ... and the a/c was quiet but effective.

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the beach and the shops and tavernas.

Breakfast is an extra and we only had it twice during our 6 nights stay but was excellent with a good choice of options.

Best of all was the welcome from the hosts, Glen and Stephanie, and their staff. They were very chatty and friendly and made our stay special.

This lovely apartment was the biggest we have ever had! It was kept spotless and was well equipped and comfortable. Only criticism, no mirror or chairs in bedroom. Also no mosquito screen in bathroom, but these are very minor niggles. Glen and Stephanie were lovely and would drop everything to help. Wonderful position, we loved it, and Finikounda, all delightful. And must mention Yum-yum their lovely cat, so sweet!

Room Tip: We were in a first floor apartment overlooking garden with 2balconies. Very nice indeed.

If you decide to visit Finikounda in Greece, first of all you've made the right choice. The actual town is wonderful: so many places to see, such variety. If you go in May, the spring flowers are blooming and it's just perfect. The best hotel in Finikounda, and one probably unrivalled just about anywhere, is the Hotel Estia. The owners are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. I am a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning, but this place was cleaned just about every day and was spotless. The views are amazing, the little self catering kitchens are perfect, and the whole holiday was by far the best we've ever had, anywhere. Thank you Glen and Stephanie for the best holiday we've ever had.

Room Tip: The top rooms adjoining the huge outdoor balcony are the best, but if you find climbing a few stairs...

The hotel is brand new with spacious rooms and all the necessary amenities to accommodate families. As it is built on a highly sloping terrain, rooms are spread from lower levels close to the beach (around 50m) to upper levels (around four floor stairs). This can be a bit of a challenge for little children or older people. All rooms have fully equipped kitchenettes and table sets suitable for lunch/dinner (very convenient for families). However, we would strongly recommend trying the offered breakfast (slightly expensive but well worth it) and enjoying it on the roof of the main building with a magnificent view of the bay of Finikounta. You can give your order from the previous day and your breakfast will be served fresh and delicious right on the arranged time. The parking outside of the hotel might be an issue, especially during high season. Still the location of the hotel has some extra advantages: it is close to an open-air parking area, it is close to the point where restaurants and cafes end so you can have a more quite and relaxed swim and most importantly, it is easy to exit Finikounta from an alternative route, therefore avoid all the mess in the main road. Finally, the staff is very friendly and eager to help you with anything you may need.

I stayed here for a week - joining my parents who had already been here for a week. Wonderful location literally 3 minutes from the beach and restaurants! We had a lovely view over the garden which was nice and it was only a minute or two to walk up to the hotel's roof terrace where we sat when we fancied somewhere a bit quieter than the beach. Rooms were spacious and clean which makes a nice change to the rest of the greek places i've stayed! Very friendly and perfect for a stay in Finikounda. Definitely recommend.

Room Tip: If there are more than two of you i recommend staying in the apartment 301 as it is only one flight...
