Every winter when we come to Dominica to escape the Canadian winter, we stay in a small village about a half-hour's drive from The Tomato. We come to Picard, (Portsmouth) where The Tomato is located about once a week by public mini-bus to do our grocery shopping. The whole grocery shopping thing is a drag, but our excursion is made tolerable - actually enjoyable! - by always having lunch at The Tomato. We LOVE the food, and although it's a bit pricey (not overly so), we recognize that it's costly to bring in all that good, fresh stuff from overseas. We are especially fond of Whitney and always look forward to seeing her. Her staff - Cassie and the others - are great. We hear that Rob and Whitney are building a new space for The Tomato and look forward to seeing it when we return this coming winter. Just keep serving that good food, though, guys!
