We stumbled on the Mulino a Vento, the mill itself, before we ever saw the restaurant. However, since it was near lunch and we were back in the Tuscan hills a ways we decided to stop there. Good choice!! To begin with the views from the large open balcony are superb. Their menu is quite comprehensive and has many great choices. There is a large selection of game and I can personally speak for the pasta with venison. A large, rich, flat pasta with a lovely sauce and plenty of meat, this was complimented by a fresh and simple salad. We even bought a nice bottle of Rosé that is produced at the vineyard associated with the restaurant. It was pretty busy the day we were there, a birthday party of something going on, so service suffered a little, but overall a great experience. I’d go certainly go back again.
