Wonderful week just on the edge of St. Lawrence Gap.
Location: The perfect location on the island the apartment is 15 mins from Bridgetown and a 6-8min walk from the restaurant strip in St. Lawrence Gap. There is a wonderful grocery store if you turn at the SHELL intersection. The only difficult part was finding the apartment but that is a result of the island's confusing road signage.
Beach: The beach was wonderful and we enjoyed many wonderful sunrises and sunsets on our balcony, on the beach, and in the water. The sand is perfect and the water was very warm and beautiful. One highlight was witnessing a sea turtle nest hatch and sea turtles running into the ocean! We also really enjoyed walking on the beach or in the water. Caution for children; there can be a current out where the boats are tied up but only pushes you sideways:)
Food: There are many restaurant options. The Gap has great options (we liked the Thai/Indian) and Oistin's Fish Market on a Friday evening is a MUST. It was fabulous. We also had an amazing experience at Cariba's Restaurant out by St. James. As a vegetarian I enjoyed all of these restaurants/experiences.
Transport: I recommend renting a car it was so much fun driving around the island. Its very easy and safe to drive and the apartment had safe parking. A spectacular highlight was spending an afternoon on the Atlantic side in Bathsheba (Roundhouse restaurant was lovely).
