On our first visit we spoiled ourselves with the rather expensive Sole meunière at 29 euros and a bottle of Pouilly Fume. A wonderful treat which we had to do again a few nights later because it was so good.
Le Quai is a deservedly popular restaurant - they seem to do everything well in a busy informal space by the quay.

Lunchtime meal for two.
Busy but seated outside which was great on a warm sunny day.
Two salads ordered. Both fresh and delicious. Pichet of rose also very good.
Ice cream sundae for dessert are well worth trying.
Service was excellent and unhurried.
Recommended.

This is a very good restaurant, small in winter but with a terrace in summer. in the racing season, normally summer it is full of sailors who take part in all the big trans ocean races, do book in peak season.

It's a wet evening in September in a new place? Where to go for dinner? Pick the place that's busiest!

This was the case at Le Quai - it was by far the busiest restaurant in town that night.

The food was good - Moule et frites and the plat du jour of fish St Colomb, together with a Calvados soaked figs and ice cream. Delicious.

The service was very good considering the place was full, and the staff helpful.

I would recommend going here if you're in the area.

Came here the other night for dinner. Service was so slow but it was very busy. Ordered red wine, oysters and steak. Well worth the wait. Probably the best steak I have ever had. Will definitely be coming back and hopefully it won't be so busy.
