Superb resort and definately the best holiday we have had...this was our honeymoon and it didnt disappoint. If we were to have any negative it would be the bed was a bit uncomfortable but everything else was great especially the food!!

I have just returned from a two week holiday here, with my husband, and two children aged 3 and 15 months.
Cleanliness – All areas and I mean all areas of the hotel were extremely clean throughout the two week stay.
Staff and Service– All staff and again I mean all staff were very friendly and extremely happy to help. Service around the pool, beach, bars inside hotel was excellent, you only had to finish you drink and a the waiter was asking you would you like anything else.
Accommodation - We were upgraded to a more superior room which had a separate lounge area, and bedroom area. Mini Bar – which was in the fridge and was replenished every day with alcohol and soft drinks. Towels – Pool towel were changed daily and the towels in your room was changed twice a day. Bedding – Changed every other day. Large balcony – included table and chairs, sun bed and washing line to dry wet clothes, and black out blinds. TV – Only English channel was the News, but I took DVD for the children when we were getting ready for the evenings.
Food – Main restaurant - Every good, but I would not class it has 5* because the choice in 4* has been just has good. Greek restaurant - Food I thought was poor and beware you do get bitten so taken some insect repellent if sitting outside. Italian restaurant was very good compared to the Greek. No problem booking, because you could only book 2 days in advance. Pools – Children’s pool water depth was great for the children beach type entrance and about three foot at the deep end. But the pool water was freezing in all pools including the indoor spa pool.
Beach – Walk to the beach was fine no steps which I need with a pram there is a ramp also to the beach. If you are a sand castle builder this beach is not for you because the sand is more like a very fine gravel not sand.
Surrounding Area Outside the Hotel – This is where it lets the hotel down, there is nothing either side of the hotel only run down villages which are very unkept. So if you like to have a walk and look around the shops outside of the hotel this hotel is not for you. There is a local supermarket which sells most things and baby stuff but it is very expensive e.g. double the price on nappies.
Kids Areas – Play areas outside fine, In the Mini Club – This area was always extremely hot, and only visited the area at night for mini disco which was poor , or during the day when the weather was poor. So I would not like to be here in July & August, and I would not leave my children there even if they were older it did not seem to have any structure to the day etc.

  • Liked — The service, staff and cleanliness of the hotel
  • Disliked — The surronding area and the cold pools

Just got back from a weeks stay at the Oceania Club. We booked direct with a company called Interdynamic and booked flights with BA. Everything ran smoothly. We were met at the airport with two taxis for our party of 4. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted with very happy reception staff and glasses of bubbly. They were quick to find out which of us were celebrating our silver wedding whilst we were there. We were taken to our rooms located in Building 5 the deluxe suites. We had rooms 5115/5116 which were on the lower floor. We found a bowl of fruit and a bottle of bubbly on the table waiting for us.The rooms were very large and bright. We had views overlooking the sea which were great and a large terrace area with a table and chairs. Some of the rooms overlooked the deluxe pool area, but we were happy to look over the sea as you were not overlooked by people around the pool. Our rooms were cleaned every day about 3pm and the maids were very good. They really did clean the rooms properly. They used to come back in the evenings and turn the beds down and leave clean towels for the morning.
Breakfasts were in the main Thalassa Restaurant and were buffett style. Very good choice, something for everyone. Lunch and evening meals were also on here and again of very good standard and choice. The Mare Mar (Italian) and The Mahi Mahi (Asian) restaurants were of very good quality and the service was very good. We enjoyed the Asian the best. We went to the Italian for our silver wedding meal. We were presented with bubbly and a special cake. They made us feel really special. Also on the day of our anniversary the reception staff decorated our room with banners and left a bucket of ice with more bubbly in it.
We often went to the Pelagos Greek tavern for lunch for a change from the main buffett restaurant. This also doubles up as a Greek Restaurant in the evenings. We enjoyed the meal there in the evening but not as much as the Italian and Asian.
We used the tennis courts which were of good quality. My husband and Son took bikes out for an afternoon which they enjoyed. We didn't use the beach as it is not sandy but shingle. We knew this before we went so this did not bother us as the pool area was great. It didn't matter what time of day you went to the pool you could always get a sunbed with an umbrella. The pool bar staff were brilliant and were constantly checking whether you wanted a drink.
The evenings after dinner were spent either in the Blue Bar or the Helios Bar and Hall. I felt this was the only area of this hotel that stopped me feeling it was a 5* hotel. There were waiting staff for all the tables who were quite slow at taking orders, but to make matters worse most of the time there were only 1 or 2 barman actually getting the drinks. Sometimes we were waiting a good half an hour for a drink. A few times we went to the bar ourselves to get our own drinks because we were fed up with waiting, which you can do but the staff don't like it. Also they say they have branded drinks, well they do if you like Whiskies and Martinis, but we drink Barcardi, Baileys and Archers of which they had none. They had their own brand of baileys but it wasn't very nice and their rum was just ok. Also they only have coke on a pump which I can't stand, but later in the week we found that if you ask for Cola Light they have that in a bottle. As for the Night Club, well most nights it was nearly empty and they played very old music. It was also the only night club I have seen that serve Soup as a snack!!! The entertainment team were quite good and made us laugh. The main entertainment only lasted 1 hour then you were left to the poor bars for the rest of the evening.
As we had a couple of rainy days we visited the Spa. This was very nice. They also has squash courts in the Spa that my husband used and he said thay were very good. The pool in the spa was supposed to be heated but it was freezing. The only thing I didn't like was there were separate sauna's and steam rooms for men and women, as if you had gone their as a couple you could not use these together.
There is nothing outside of the hotel to do so don't bother wasting your time. Would I go back --- maybe if they improved the evening bars ect as I got quite bored.

Just got back from the Oceania.overall the hotel is very good i would rate 4* not 5 as most people have said.
deluxe pool staff are excellent, always topping up your drinks.
room maids are excellent .we stayed with my daughter who is very very messy but every day on return to her room the maid had lined up all her shoes and makeup etc.
all restaurants staff were again excellent.as were the reception staff who we found very helping.
The only staff who fell below this high standard were the male waiting staff in the blue bar.we were for ever having to go and get our own drinks which we didn't mind but the bar staff seem to take offence to this but this wasn't a major problem.
The bikes tennis and squash were all of good quality.
The only thing that stops this hotel being an excellent 5* was the alcoholic drinks we found them to be of poor choice and quality,IE no baileys no Bacardi mixers on a syrup tap { ask for coke light as this is the only mixer you get in a bottle]

Went to the Oceania Club in August 2008, 2 Adults, 2 children 7 & 14.
Well you get what you pay for. This was by far the best holiday I have ever had.

I don’t mind paying for quality but then expect to get it and here you most certainly do, I was very lucky to get an amazing deal with SaniHolidays.Com online, but it would have been worth the higher price some other operators were quoting.

This was pure luxury and pampering from start to finish
Collected at the airport by a designated driver
Porter to your room
Mini bar in room replenished daily
Room cleaned every day and towels replaced twice a day

Accommodation was excellent, clean spacious, everything you would expect from this quality of hotel

Food was amazing, no winging from the kids either, was nice they catered for children without them having to have chips every night

We stayed in a deluxe junior suite and so had entrance to the privilege club – truly worth the upgrade

Pool never too busy, can get a sunbed anytime of the day
Drinks served to you at your sunbed, pure luxury
Café bar, for lunch and ice creams by the pool
Not like a normal all inclusive though, food left everywhere, they always seems to be discreetly cleaning up after the guests
Entertainment was great
Waiter service all the time for drinks
All inclusive included all drinks named brands, cocktails etc
We only used the Greek restaurant once and the buffet the rest of the time as it was so good, food constantly replenished, not left sitting there for hours

Would I go here again – Every year if I can afford it!!!!!

Just back from a fortnight here and absolutely loved every minute. From the moment we arrived to be given drinks and having our cases taken to our room and being taken on a buggy to the room. Was given an upgrade to deluxe junior suite which gave us use of the upper pool which we loved. Room was lovely and there was enough space for our family 4 in total. No complaints at all. The view from our room was amazing , the place was so clean inside and out . maid service excellent, towel changes and mini bar too.
Now what can i say about the staff, service with a smile all day long, not one long face. It is the hotels staff that make this place what it is they were brilliant , from the girls and boys serving round the poolbars to the staff on the desk upstairs, sveta and adriana especially and all the staff in the thalassa restaurant . The food is of a good standard too, something for everybody , we certainly had no complaints and we have come home heavier than we went so i shall miss all those lovely meals and cakes . Childrens club staff well done to them too in keeping my son happy thank you.
Would i go back ? You Bet
I Think the management have got this place so right and i am so looking forward to my next trip, miss it already .

After reading all the reviews we decided to stay at the Oceania Club for a change - we normally holiday at Lykia World, Turkey. We stayed 7/8 - 21/8.

The Oceania Club is immaculate, we stayed in the Deluxe Junior Suite. Which were spacious and clean. Only comments on the room are that the pillows were not great, shower was weak and the mini bar was disappointing only water, beer and wine no soft drinks, which as we do not drink alcohol was disappointing.

The two pools were lovely, we preferred the pool by the Suites. The gym was one of the best I have used - great air conditioning.

The restaurants were OK, food OK - nothing special. Sometimes we had to queue in the evenings to get a table for dinner. What was good was that the restaurants were non-smoking - unusual for Greece.

What makes this place special in my opinion is the staff - they are very friendly, helpful - they just can not do enough for you, they alone make up for any shortfalls that the Oceania may have.

Would I go back - not for the next couple of years as my teenage son was bored, there were no activities that he really felt like joining in and unfortunately hardly any teenagers when we stayed there.

As they say it's horses for courses I met some people who have been staying at the Oceania every year since it opened and would not consider holidaying anywhere else. It is the ideal place for couples, young families and older people who like good service and a more sedate hotel complex.
