“Fantastic Honeymoon!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

This hotel is fantastic! We got an upgrade from a junior suite to a suite and when we entered our room there was a food platter and bottle of champagne and a little 'congratulations on your marriage' note. We went Mid April so the weather was hit and miss, chilly first thing in the morning and evening when it was cloudy, but when the sun shone it was very hot and lovely. The cocktails are fantastic, and Manos at the pool bar was brilliant! In fact all the staff were fantastic, but Manos in particular. The food we had here was some of the best food we've tasted, and even though it is a canteen style restaurant, they have a seperate bit for couples. Breakfast was the only thing that was the same every day, and the bacon is rubbish, but that's the only thing I can fault this hotel on. The Al la Carte restaurants are all fantastic, and you can have as many starters/mains/deserts as you like! Had the best salmon and duck we've ever tasted in the asian, and the best calamari in the greek. We ate so much I'm surprised we didn't come back a couple of stone heavier! Nightclub was a bit empty, but you have to wait for it to open in some very relaxing bars, and by the time it opens you just want to go to bed. But the DJ is very good and will generally play what ever you like. Try the Brandy Daisy cocktail on the Menu's, it tastes lovely and is very refreshing. Rooms were good too. Beach was nice, but you have to get down there early for water sports, the guy down there was a bit too careful, and when there were a couple of waves he closed water sports for the rest of the day! I'm not being funny but I've seen choppier lakes, but we had a good laugh about it. Not much else to say really, we just chilled out to the max for the week and had a great time. Would definitely go back!

We stayed at this hotel from 28 April for a week. There were six of us with adjacent junior suites in Block 4 which has a direct sea view. The sea view is magnificent with the beach just across the garden. The food was good with an adequate range of food for anybody's taste. The mini bar in the room is free and well stocked.
The waiters are very polite, helpful and extremely hard working.
There is a good size gym with quite a wide range of equipment. The only drawback with the spa facility is that the indoor pool is not heated and the Jacuzzi is within the unheated pool. The water is pretty cold and makes it very uncomfortable to sit in a cold Jacuzzi. Apart from that this holiday resort is an excellent choice and well worth another visit.

Room Tip: Block 4 facing the sea.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday with our 2 adult daughters. The hotel and holiday was just fabulous. We had adjoining rooms with an interconnecting door which made it like a family suite. The rooms were spotlessly clean and felt brand new and the sea view was wonderful. The all inclusive package was exceptional as the food was plentiful and very high quality, the a la carte evenings were well worth booking. I have asked my travel agent to watch out for the same week next year as we shall definitely be back. The staff were so attentive and determined to make sure we had a special time. A real 5 star luxury holiday. Thank you!

Room Tip: We were in block 4 rooms 4322/4323 and the fact that they were joined was really nice for the family...

Reading some of the other reviews there is one point I agree on, the staff are great. I have had many holidays in the med and often at 4 star type hotels, and in general these have been better.

The hotel has a nice foyer, nice swimming pools and spa area, but the restaurant is dissapointing for the atmosphere. The food is quite good, just a few things that lack quality such as the processed ham which is fried and served up as "bacon". There are also some odd things, like if I want to hire a bike I have to pay cash, they would not charge to my room. Makes you wonder why they insist on cash?

I also feel they could manage the main restuarant better, it feels more like a 'dining hall' than a restuarant. It is very noisey, like an earlier review said, it is canteen style. The only good 'restaurant experience' we had was when we went to the Asian and Italian al la carte areas, but you could only book these for one night each.

My advice to other travellers is dont expect 5 star, then you will be happy, this is certainly not a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid block 4 as you have to walk back up hill for dinner!

Booked a weeks stay via secret escapes. It was perfect from start to finish. Our driver was waiting for our arrival and we were promptly taxi'd to the hotel where we were greeted with champagne on arrival. The rooms are lovely, the meals are great especially in the three a la carte restaurants and the staff couldnt be more friendly. I can't recommend highly enough.

We are staying there as I write this review in may 2013. Firstly the positives. The staff are very good, everyone is helpful and friendly. The food is also good. Location is on a small hill facing the sea, we have great rooms from our room.

Now some not so good.
The main restaurant is like a canteen, very noisy, no table cloths, all buffet service. I found the ambiance very poor. No good for a romantic dinner unless you don't mind the noise and young children running around uncontrolled.

The package we have is all inclusive, you have beer and wine in your room plus one large bottle of water. When I ask for more as we run in the morning and need extra water I was told they would have to replace the beer and wine with water, they would not give us more. Not what I expect for all inclusive, a restricted supply of water!

Next the sports facilities, we understood these to be free. We asked to hire bikes on second day and was told it is only free the first time, then you have to pay 10 euro per bike hire per day.

Overall the hotel has great staff but this just is not a 5 star experience, far from it.

Firstly we booked through onthebeach.com and got a very good price for the week, which made the holiday even better. Brilliant service champagne on arrival, and maria the manager had upgradres us to junior suited free of charge. The luggage was taken to our rooms for us and the rooms were ready when we arrived. Rooms are spacious and very clean and had a lovely view of Mount Olympus. All bars in the main lobby, adult, pool and beach bar had lots of choice and table service. Plenty of choice in the restaurant lovely salads and meat, and different themese every night, yes can get repetative but i think like any all inclusive. The greek and italian a la carte stood out excellent food and service! The asian was lovely too but just preferred food at the others. We were lucky to have amazing weather and had no problems getting a sunbed by the pool but maybe in the height of season u might do. Beach was lovely, watch for sea urchins but there are signa everywhere. U can get pedalos for free and i saw some people getting some lessons for windsurfing. The town near by was a nice walk along the front away a bit run down id imagine after the recession, but it was out of season and they were doing things up, but we managed to have a nice coffee and a very cheap greasy kebab!
The indoor pool, gym and steam room were lovely and the spa was very nice i didnt get a treatment but 2 of the party did and they said they enjoyed it!
If you are looking for a relaxing break this is ideal, lovely stay :).
