The Hilltop is situated just "above" Hanioti, on a quiet hill, which makes it a great location if you want to relax. The beach is not very near, but if you like to walk it's ok. We prefered to take our car an go to a private beach 5 minutes away, Molos on the beach. There the beach is wider than in Hanioti and you also have free sunbeds if you order from the bar.
Back to the hotel... Very clean, seemed recently renovated. The rooms were cleaned daily and the sheets and towels were changed every 3 days. The pool area was clean and not crowded, so if you wanted to have an afternoon nap or read a book under the umbrellas you could do so without being disturbed. I personally liked the little library of the hotel, which gad all kinds of books, which came in handy if you finished reading what you brought from home.
The food was ok, not quite what you would expect from all inclusive, but I would call it rather full board, because there wasn't much to choose from. However, the food was very tasty.
The staff of the hotel was always helpful and nice. All in all, we had a great time and we would come again to this hotel.

An amazing hotel that caters for every need. Shops at the bottom of "the hill" and not far away at all... Really nice staff that give a whole range of useful advice, superior rooms of a very good standard. Despite the rathe large hill, a great place to stay. Highly recommend visiting this hotel.

Well were back again 20 years after our first (& annual) visit to the Hilltop. It never disappoints. We love to visit and see what changes have been made. This year there's lots you can see and lots behind the scenes. Externally there's the lovely stonework which is also on show in the restaurant. It really sets off the external appearance. The work in the restaurant has made a huge difference to the ambience.
The food was lovely - lots of choice & some really great salads & fruit. Breakfast was plentiful - although the waste generated by some of the other guests was quite alarming at times - not that there was anything wrong with the food they just seemed to have to fill all the plates!
As usual you couldn't complain about the standards of cleaning - spotless as always!
The external building in the garden is great - New flower beds & water feature to match the new stonework.
The one thing that we're so pleased never changes is the amazing view of the sea. It truly is totally breathtakingly. I could never tire of looking at it
Met at the airport by Vasso & had a great journey down to the hotel. Much better journey than before with a tour company!
In all I will always recommend this pearl of a hotel to anyone. The family makes their home into your home for the 2 weeks you are there & our holiday starts the moment we get there
Try it because it's more than worth it. We have a great time & can't wait for the next time we visit
Thank you to the whole Papaterpos family - you make our holiday xx

Back at the Hilltop for our annual vacation. The family have been very busy over the winter months improving the exterior of the hotel both front and back and adding two new suites which are completed to a high standard. As usual the rooms and the rest of the hotel are spotless and service is of a high standard. It is nice to see some familiar faces, both with guests and staff. Looking forward to our second week.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and at first everything seemed ok. The rooms looked just like in the photos, everything was clean and the staff spoke good English. However, the hotel's room cleaning policies are very poor. They supposedly change the towels once every 2 days, but in fact they are changed once every three days. we arrived on a Saturday and Monday evening we requested clean towels and the guy at the reception told us that normally we should receive them the next day, but he will send someone with some new towels that moment. After that out towels were changed Thursday evening and we were supposed to check out Friday morning.

Furthermore, the cleaning lady made a habit out of coming at 3 pm to clean the room, when everyone wanted to sleep, so our room only got cleaned once because of this. We usually went to the beach in the morning and returned at the hotel at 1pm because the sun was too hot. The only time our room got cleaned was one day, when the cleaning service came at 1pm, just as we were coming from the beach, so we waited a little for the maid to finish.

The menu of their restaurant is not very diverse. We only had the breakfast included and it was all right, but I would not recommend the all inclusive option. Overall, were it not for the room cleaning situation I would say that my stay at this hotel was pleasant, but as it is, I would not recommend it to someone else.
