The flight centre suggested we stay here, we honestly couldnt of been happier, the place is really friendly, clean and has a good vibe about it. Panos the manager and his wife make a great moussaka and keep the place tip top, the pool is stunning. For a last minute week of relaxation, we really couldnt have asked for more. Town is a 15 min walk away and the food is amazing, perhaps the only negative is the fact that its situated next to a busy road which means you cant really relax on the balcony; by the pool however you dont really notice a thing. The only other annoying thing was the fact that England were playing Pakistan at Cricket on the TV in the bar and the boyf became a zombie everytime it came on, still i am an expert in cricket now!

we have just got back from the bella grecia and we had a lovely holiday. the rooms are basic but lovely and clean. small shower cubicle with hand held shower which wasnt good would make such a difference if mounted on the wall. the road is very noisy in the day but goes quiet in the evening. i have read other reviews and i'm afraid i didn't particularly find this warm welcome everyone raves about, perhaps because we didn't spend lots of time at the bar etc. i think this is the key?

the beach is only across the road and we did find a lovely beach bar there to the left, which we were made very welcome and went to their greek evening.
there are tv's in the room and although we do not watch the tv much we did miss having at least one english speaking chanel......couldnt see the point of the tv at all when it is in a thomson based hotel without an english channel..not even the news!!!

the bbq night was a bit of a let down the food was great...really nicely cooked but no effort was made to make the evening any different to any other night .panos is talking about having a mini bus next season which will make a big difference, as you do get tired of walking 20mins to town especially when its very hot!

we hired a quad bike for the day which was great!!! best day of the holiday........
we also used local buses to visit nearby towns which we enjoyed very much.

so overall we did enjoy our holiday there but a mini bus.......english chanel on tv.....and shower on the wall would make a big difference!!!!!

Amazing,
We stopped here on 21 September 2009 for a week and loved it.
The owner Panos and his family are great. On the first night we bought panos a drink (beer was just over $2 euro a pint). Later into the night a couple more Greek men came in, and we also bought them a drink (Paul & George). We later found out that the other Greek men were related to panos the owner of the hotel, and also had there own restaurant in town. We ate at there restaurant nearly every night and the food was beautiful and also not to expensive : ) Plus we never paid for 1 drink there, we tried to but they wouldn’t take it, such lovely people. Anyway back to the hotel, small and very clean. Because of the size, you get to know everyone there and it really is like a nice big family. We also met 2 Geordies (we are brummys), and they have became brilliant friends. Our room was a nice size, and also was nicer than on the photo on the Thomson website. Also had a balcony that looked out to the sea which was lovely. The weather was amazing and came back with a lovely tan, although Panos the owner, seemed to think it was cold, so that kinda proves how hot it gets in the more summer months. The hotel had 2 lovely towns either side of it. One was a 10 minute walk, the other a 20 minute walk. Our favourite was the closest one. You can also walk along the beach into town which was nice. I had a big cocktail fish bowl which was about 10 euro and it lasted all night. It was sooooo lush. We usually walked into town in the morning to browse the lovely shops and on the night whilst the sun was setting. After some food and a drink, we got a taxi back which cost no more than 5 euro. The one night, there were 6 of us waiting at the taxi rank for a ride back to the hotel and the owner panos drove past. He told us all to jump in, so there were 6 of us in his tiny car!!! It was fun and scary but proves how nice the Greek are. The hotel pool was lovely for relaxing around. I would sunbathe whilst the partner sat at the bar. The night time entertainment was good, we played bingo one night and we won both houses : ) another night was a quiz night and they also had a bbq on the Saturday which was 10 euro each but soooo worth it. It was most certainly without a doubt the best bbq i have ever had. They had every meat a going. I loved spending time down the beach, it was literally across the road from the hotel. The water was unbelievably clear and they had so many amazing water sports to get our hearts racing, also pedlows. Plus is was only cheap.
Day trips were also great, we went on a boat for the day and to a couple of towns and also jumped off in the middle of the sea, plus food and drink was included, it was great, and cost around 35 euros each.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday, and we are hoping to go back again soon, maybe similar time to last year. If anyone has any questions about this hotel or the whereabouts then please email me on Vicky_chick@hotmail.com.
I would personally rate this hotel higher than a 2* because it is clean, lovely and a great place to visit. If your going soon, then have fun.... and ill try not to get to jealous!!!

This was the first time my husband and myself had been to Halkikiki, although we had visited other Greek islands, and chose the Bella Grecia with Thomson after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. To say we had a fantastic weeks holiday is an understatement. From the moment we arrived Panos the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome as did his family and the rest of the staff. We also met some wonderful couples whom we spent many a relaxing evening at Panos's cousins restaurant the Arhontiko in Hanioti. Pavlos the owner, his family and George made us feel so welcome from our first visit that we returned time and time again. By the end of our holiday we became friends more than just customers, and we will miss them even though we will stay in contact. If you are looking for a relaxed friendly holiday ,not in the centre of the hussle and bussle, then this is definitely the place to stay. The only minor downside is the walk from the hotel does take about 20 mins at a holiday pace, the beach is shingly, and as the hotel is beside the road there can be some traffic noise, but nowhere is perfect and we would honestly recommend staying at the Bella Grecia and visiting the Arhontiko restaurant.

Went to bella grecia just outside hanioti with husband and two friends, booked with Thomson. (Adell the rep was really helpful with tips of where to go etc and always at hand)
typical greek rooms, basic and functional. cleaned daily with the bedding and towels changed every other day.
full bar service and snacks available at any time. Panos, the owner, was great, as was forfor who helped at the bar. Always helpful and friendly, will get ciggies etc to sell at the bar, just ask for your brand! If you 'need' to watch the footie, panos will make sure the match you want is on.
Hanioti is about 20 mins walk, panos will call a taxi (cost approx 7 euros). lots of bars, taverna's and shops. locals are really friendly and helpful.
beach literally across the road from the hotel, bit shingly, but the beach at hanioti is lovely and sandy. sea shallow and warm
would highly recommend and definately go back,
