Me my wife and 2 other couples wanted to get away for a bit of sun we found this all inclusive hotel through easy jet we looked at a couple of reviews sounded just what were looking for . When we got there it was much better the hotel was lovely, the rooms were really nice , the food was great you can't go hungry here, Had a lovely pool ,and in the evening they put a show each night the shows were excellent and all the staff were very friendly I would recommend this hotel to all couples and familys we are hoping to go back in September 2012 Tony Phillipou

We ( my husband and i ,and our Daughter and her partner) stayed here for a week from the 12th -19th May. Got bargain flights from ryanair, and a great deal from low -cost holidays for the hotel. For the price we paid we got an excellent deal.

The rooms, although fairly basic were very clean and had plenty of storage space. The pool areas were supplied with ample sunloungers( and no one put their towels out early ! ). the beach although small was very scenic, the sea was blue and clear with lots of fish, when snorkling we also spotted several octopus near the rocks. We went on the kayak trip which was excellent, and the men did the mountain biking excursion.

The food was good with plenty of choice, and a great salad bar ,however we often found the food luke warm at times. The staff were all very friendly and helpful particually the animation team who worked very hard .

We had a great week, missing the sun, and would certainly go back to portinatx. The resort is small, but there are lots of walks from the resort, and some good evening entertainment ( Vincents bar) nearby if you want a change from the hotel shows.

As we were travelling as 3 generations of the same family it is hard to find something for everyone, our family are grandad aged 72, son and girlfriend aged 22 and ourselves mum and dad aged 40. We flew Ryan Air, no problems at all and transfers were Resort Hopper , This was a cheap and cheerful hol for us, having been on 3 cruises in the last year. The hotel is spottless , the grounds are beautiful, the food better than the last Thomson cruise we went on. The entertainment suited all 3 generations and the weather was fantastic. The boys went kyaking and saw dolphins ,while we were fishing on the rocks near the private beach. All in all i would recommend this hotel to anyone , i wasnt expecting much for the price we paid but it well exceeded my expectations. Well done everyone at BGHOTELS.!!!!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room near pool area

I stayed at this hotel for 4 night break (just 3 days 14-16 May 2012) to get away from the rain at home. It was an excellent choice and exceeded expectations, not least because of the price. I went with a company called ulookubook.com. I asked for a quiet, sea-view room and, as I was holidaying with my 22yr old son - with twin beds - that's exactly what we got; although the sea view was peering over a rooftop. They do have frontline sea views but at a supplement.

The rooms are perfectly adequate, good quality pine furniture, though a little dated. The mattress on the bed was a little uncomfortable but I got used to it. The bathroom was spotless though do watch out in the shower it fluctuates in temperature and quickly went from cold to scalding hot and back again. As we were on a short break we were hand-luggage only on the flight so I brought mini-size toiletries etc. My son didn't bring any, so he was pleased to find a couple of sachets of shower gel and shampoo were provided on arrival and there is a shop in the hotel where he bought top-up toiletries and sunscreen. We had a balcony with table and chairs, and even a nest with a bird sitting on her eggs in the plant growing up the wall.

There's a lovely freeform pool though the water was cold at this time of the year so I didn't go in, there were a few people brave enough. There was a second adult pool which I think was a little warmer - long enough for me to have a brief swim so it must have been ok. Plenty of sunloungers with mattesses around the pools, being early season there was no mad scrum for sunloungers! You need your own beach towel. And down on the small private beach if you prefer the lovely blue sea - it was nice to have somewhere to walk to and see the fish. Also at the beach there's a bar, a seating area and kayaks to use – no sunbeds though, they're prohibited on the beach. We took a walk there after dinner and watched the lightening out to sea. All the grounds are lit up at night and look so pretty.

I loved the setting of the hotel amongst the greenery and natural landscaping. Little birds hopping about, very pretty. Not suitable if you don't do steps as there are plenty! But if you're fit they're no problem and it adds to the built on the side of a cliff charm.

The all inclusive food was typical something for everyone buffet; dinner consisted of an extensive salad bar, bread counter, hot counter with daily pasta dish, fish dish and a couple of meat dishes, also a local speciality such as Paella or stuffed aubergines. It wasn't gourmet food but plenty of choice. Puddings consisted of various jellies, mousses and cakes. Breakfast had continental meats and cheeses, typical hot food selection of eggs/sausage/beans/bacon, yogurt and cereal, tinned fruit salad, and a cake/pastries selection and not forgetting the obligatory toast machine. Cheap fizz as well as tea/coffee/fruit juice available at breakfast. Beer, red/white wine available to help yourself at lunch and dinner. Dinner was cleared away by 9pm so sometimes it was a slight rush having arrived at 8.15pm. Breakfast was 8-10am, for late risers there was the outdoor snack bar for continental breakfast from 10am, and after 12.15 if you fancied an alfresco lunch of burgers, cheese/ham toasties and salad, fresh fruit and watermelon slices, plus a freezer full of ice-cream tubs to help yourself. What's not to like? Also outdoors were help yourself soft drinks dispensers for pac-mix fruit juice, coke/fanta or water to help yourself throughout the day.

The bar served a variety of locally produced drinks, including cointreau and amarretto, which I often had post-dinner to accompany a cappucino. I have to say the sangria was like paint stripper but each to their own! I was excited by the cocktail menu until I tasted them... they are pre-mixed and not so nice. They also did milk shakes for a cooling drink during the day.

For a change of scenery the resort of Portinatx is just a 10 minute downhill walk (the incline not too bad on the return) should you want to ring the changes and go to the 2 pretty cove beaches and look around the bucket and spade shops!

My last word must go to the animations team, what a hard-working bunch of young people they are. Wonderfully entertaining as they performed night after night until 11pm after a full day of daytime activities. Things shut down early at Club Hotel Portinatx, late enough for me though and no late night noise which is a good thing - not sure if this changes as the season gets into full swing.

Club Hotel Portinatx well deserves its no.1 slot on Trip Advisor, and I would highly recommend it for couples and families young and old, and anyone not interested in Ibiza's nightclub scene!

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet sea view room and thats what we got (room 32). I think any room away from the ma...

Just got back from Club Hotel Portinatx for the price we paid we did not expect it to be this good!!!
5 young ladies celebrating a 50th, got there at 9.15pm on sat 5th may 2012 very hungry when we asked if they could possibly get us anything to eat this was not a problem, a lovely selection of meats with a salad was presented in the restaurant (closed at 9pm) for us all.
When we went down to breakfast we were astounded to find a lovely champagne one waiting for us so it only got better.........
This hotel is well worth a visit set in a beautiful bay with stunning views the hotel very clean, staff very friendly and the animation team were the best I have came across, bearing in mind this was the start of the season so this was all new to them, they put on fabulous shows every night, Well done.
Cant wait to bring my family back well worth, see you all soon.

My daughter and i have decided to go on a well deserved week in the sun and booked Club Portinax. This hotel delivered well in all areas the resort was stunning the hotel set in a beautiful location surrounded by lush green trees and far better than the brochure. The food and drinks were of a high standard apart from the cocktails id give them a wide birth! For a sleepy family orientated hotel that catered for all ages it was good fun. The entertainment team were very entertaining and i am not into that sort of thing but i relaxed back every night and watched show after show. On the last day we went Kayaking which was real good fun and i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted a relaxing break in the sun. The only think i would be say if your landing late after 9pm the restaurants close and there is no food at all, so if you have young children you need to be aware of this.
