Great location, however the food was average. Above average prices. Selection mainly limited to sea food. Service excellent

I was born in Melkbos 1972 and for years there was no cafe/restaurant. Orca was this first 'proper' cafe/restaurant which opened in Melkbosstrand and till today Orca is going from strenght to strenght. I simply love the setting, Orca is worth stopping at for brunch, lunch or dinner and spoil yourself by taking a stroll along the beach before or after your tasty meal.

This is an extremely good restaurant and definitely 5*. The situation is delightful, overlooking the beach and on a sunny day very nice indeed. Their surroundings are not 'plush', but perfectly comfortable, although the tables are rather close together. More importantly, the food and service were top notch. This is very much an up-market "beach cafe" and well worth a visit. A must is the crispy fried calamari tentacles - the best I've eaten. Everything is reasonably priced and good quality. We went on a public holiday and were told by friends who accompanied us that it is very busy at weekends and that at times it could be difficult to find parking.

If you like to eat Fish, this is the place to go. A stunning view over the Beach, casual, friendly, with professional service. The fish is freshly cooked and prepared to perfection, and not, I'm pleased to say covered with any sauces. If you want a table outside you must go early for lunch as they do not take reservations but parking is easy. One of our best meals during our stay in Cape Town.

The fish is excellent, they will prepare it as you wish (I personally like it almost raw, and with no sauces at all) it is fresh and the service is friendly and professional. The best restaurant so far, I'm still searching for a better one!
