My wife and I together with friends stated 1 night at this hotel. The building is magnificent. Can easily see why it is used in films. It is of course on San Pedro a very attractive street with numerous grand facades to the houses. Room was large and comfortable, clean and stylish. Breakfast standard for Spain with bottles juice or drinks, lovely coffee, and a selection of cold meats, cereals, toast toppings, fruit and yoghurts. Worthwhile place to stay a night it two.

We stayed one night at the end of august, We all loved it, friendly staff and good amenities, Close to centre of Osuna in a quiet street. just one thing to bear in mind is that the last two weeks in August many restaurants and hotels close for their holidays as Cordoba is usually too hot to visit then. we had no problems with the heat which was lower than normal (32º) but eating out choices were limited.

This hotel is in an outstanding building in the centre of Osuna but It feels a bit past its sell by date. The rooms are a bit dowdy and dark and the chairs in the dinning room wonky. Tje walls of my room seemed paper thin, but my friends' room was very quiet. The bathrooms are nice and great showers. Breakfast uninspiring.
The staff are friendly and the rates are reasonable, it's such a pity that those little details have been neglected.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the very top floor.

The Hotel Palacio Marques de la Gomera used to be the stately home of a Spanish nobleman, I understand, until about 1998. Since then, it has been converted into a very elegant hotel. It has a wonderful atrium, with relaxing chairs and a fountain, and the rooms just have to be seen to be believed. Very gracious indeed! (Our room had a painting on the ceiling!) My guess is that, because Osuna is a little off the tourist route, it hasn't really been discovered yet. The reason I didn't want to write a review before now is because I don't want to be faced with an invasion of tourists next time I go! On the other hand, the hotel does deserve more custom, hence this review. The room next-door to ours was used as a set for the 2002 film "Callas Forever", starring Fanny Ardant & Jeremy Irons. The hotel's balcony featured big in that, as did the street (Calle San Pedro) which was festooned with bunting for the occasion. I enjoyed the breakfast (served till 11.00am) a lot - typically Spanish, with juices, cooked meats, pastries, and tomatoes & garlic for meaking 'pan tumaca'. Things were kind of lonely in the dining-room at night, but it was midweek off-season (Feb) and that was to be expected. (There are some fantastic restaurants and tapas bars nearby as well.) We enjoyed speaking Spanish with the staff, I think most of them didn't have strong English, which could be a little unsettling for non-Spanish speakers. In typical Andalusian style, though, they were very friendly, attentive and patient. The owner was very kind, and presented us with a souvenir bottle of olive oil as we left. (The town is a major producer of that.) A real "jewel in the crown" of traditional Spain! Real Spain, if you want to get away from the 'Costa del English', and a great jumping-off spot for Seville and Cordoba.

Room Tip: Try to get one with a rustically-tiled bathroom and jacuzzi ('hidromasaje'). Just the '...

We stayed here for one night to visit the historic town of Osuna. The town is beautifully preserved and the hotel is equally impressive. It is a very grand Spanish 'palacio' situated in the centre of the historic centre surrounded by other grand buildings. Rooms are situated around a very grand internal central courtyard. Our room was in the attic and you should be aware that the lift does not extend to this floor. This was a fairly large room with open beamed roof and a lovely large bathroom, but no outlook, with small high windows. I suspect the rooms in the lower floors are more grand, but for one night this was fine. The breakfast was very good, with a typical continental buffet, but also the opportunity to order a cooked breakfast from the kitchen. Parking in the narrow street is a bit difficult, so we opted for the hotel parking at 10 Euros, but this turned out to be on a demolition site some distance away. If we had tried a bit harder, we would probably have found a more convenient space on the street.

Room Tip: try to avoid attic rooms, especially if you need the lift

The Hotel Palacio Marques de la Gomera in Osuna is a terrific hotel. We stayed there for one night in late December and it was a stay of comfort in a grandiose setting.

Check-in and welcome was warm and efficient. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything functioned well in the bathroom and the wi-fi signal and ease of access very straightforward. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but we did have breakfast: Not sure what the problem has been for a few writers on here with regard to breakfast. We were left very contented - great coffee, juices, water, pastries, toast etc. It was very typically Andalucian and good quality at that.

Overall we would highly recommend this hotel and the town of Osuna for travellers.

Room Tip: No hotel parking but plenty in the nearby streets.
