This hotel is in a beautiful setting made up of many converted little village houses around a central area of two swimming pools. The immaculately weeded gardens are brought to life by the vivid colours of oleander trees.

There is a big choice of rooms and suites of different sizes. We have enjoyed a number of different ones over the past few years, and the hotel only uses top quality mattresses. Everywhere is spotlessly clean.

The chef is now in his third year of residence and we enjoyed a varied menu of excellent dishes each night over our week's stay.

It is very well located for visits to Nîmes and Uzès, and close to the Pont du Gard. As a cyclist, I found it easy to pick a circular route each day for a new ride in the beautiful surrounding Provençale countryside.

The owners and staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful throughout our stay. We shall return!

Room tip: The hotel website gives accurate images of the different rooms, which we found very helpful when choosing a room.

We stayed here for four nights last week and loved everything about our stay. The rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds and a fridge in the room. The grounds around the four swimming pools are beautifully kept and very attractive. We ate the 4 course set menu each night, and loved absolutely everything we were given. As the hotel is a good 10 minutes from a main road, and there are no restaurants in the vicinity, this is definitely THE place to eat. Breakfast is self service with good quality and plenty of choice.

In fact, the hotel is so peaceful and beautiful that we made sure we finished our sightseeing each day in time to soak up a couple of hours sun round the main pool, whilst enjoying a couple of glasses of local rose wine - which we kept in our fridge and the hotel seemed happy for us to do so.

All the staff are very friendly and the management were extremely helpful to us throughout our stay. Getting to Nimes or Arles is only about a half hour's drive, so the hotel is very well positioned.

All in all I cannot recommend L'Enclos des Lauriers Roses highly enough, and very much hope that we will visit it again.

Spent four nights at this lovely hotel. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, good supply of towels. We ate dinner at the hotel each night and found the food to be excellent and beautifully presented. There is good wine list with plenty of choice. The swimming pools are clean and well maintained with plenty of sun loungers. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We stayed for five nights as a family of two adults and two young children. What a great spot! The small suite we had was clean, cosy and quiet. The pools are a winner and the food is good albeit the choice is limited. The village is sleepy but full of charm and very well located for visiting Nimes, Uzes, Montpellier etc....All in all a great stay - we will be back and probably with friends next time!

Room tip: Depends what you want - they can cater for most party sizes it seems to me.
