We've been visiting The Wheatsheaf for about 6 years now and it never disappoints. If you're a "foodie" you'll love it!! The quality of the food which they serve is always second to none. Try the fillet steak...the only word is awesome! If you stay, your breakfast is equally as good as dinner the night before. I can particularly recommend the smoked haddock and poached egg - it's delicious! It's our "go to" place when we want to treat ourselves.

Ate here a few times and both times the food has been amazing. But the portions are small! Each time I left without feeling full even after a three course meal!
High prices are what stopped me ordering seconds and im not a big eater.
So expect great tasting and high quality food but not a lot of it. Staff are friendly.

We've been regulars here for15 years with a break just following a change in ownership.

But we're delighted to have this back on our list of REALLY good places to go.

We love the new chef and menu. Our (foodie) guests said their sweet was one of the best ever.

Looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks.

This is out second stay at the hotel .. We really enjoyed the first time and this was even better - the room was a standard , last time we stayed in the exec room . It was clean , spacious and modern. Absolutely fine for 2 nights . We booked on a deal half board for 218 for the 2 nights . The restaurant is aa rosette and well deserved. Food, service, and menu is excellent . This is a gem of a hotel .. We will return -again
