Stayed at this nice quaint hotel. Which you stay in an apartment which is good with AC and kitchenette and microwave etc.
Staff are friendly enough and place is clean around pool and the 1 dining area
The pool is very clean and is unheated with a kiddy size pool for babies etc
The food is okay breakfast very basic. Three meals set a day NO snacks are available free with all inclusive choice
There was plenty of choice of sun loungers available this time of year
The hotel is situated on cliff tops which have no rails. I thought this is not good for kids that is my only big negative
The free WIFI is slow and available only in one place
1 bit of entertainment on in one week
1 shop 200 meters away
No pubs or restaurants near by either

Ideal fir quiet couples holiday

A lovely clean hotel which blends in with its surroundings. The apartments are rather like mini linked houses rather than the traditional hotel and the area is largely unspoilt by tourism. There are however two supermarkets and a few cafes close by for any provisions needed and the former fishing village of Fornells is about a 40 minutes leisurely walk from the hotel. It has a very pretty harbour and plenty of places to eat and drink and a good array of shops.
One thing to bear in mind is that the hotel is built on the side of a hill and has many steps to all parts of the hotel complex so acessibility may be an issue for the less able and there are NO lifts.
The restaurant is buffet style for all meals with a reasonable choice for a 3* hotel. The dining room is clean and airy and the waiting staff attentive.
One drawback is the lack of a good wifi signal around the hotel unless you are prepared to spend €6 per day for an enhanced signal. The rate drops the more days you book but in this day and age I think wifi should be provided free as a matter of course. Free wifi is available through the port of Fornells whether inside or out of any premises.

On arrival we were were greeted by a lovely receptionist who allowed us to store our bags away in a side room. The man who worked on reception too (cant remember his name) was excellent at his job - Very professional and helpful . We arrived approx 10:30AM and the room wasn't ready until 12:30. This was no issue. We went to get a drink in the bar and sat on the roof top area which gave us gorgeous views of the sea.
Everything was explained very well on arrival. The taxi from the airport was approx 50 Euros. The surcharge was slightly higher to that on our return journey.

Our room was lovely and spacious and most of all clean. To get to our room we had about 30 steep steps. This was fine but if you are elderly or struggle with walking - Dont book this hotel to stay.
The apartments were located in a beautiful area - 20 mins walk to the nearest supermarket. there was a supermarket open approx 5 mins away but i imagine it was closed because we visited in May? Closed for the season?
I would highly recommend a car if you want to be close to everything as everything is long walks there and back. If you don't mind this then fine. Approx 4 min walk to the bus stop - It was something like 5 Euros per person the Mahon the city or you can visit Fornells the local town for around 2 Euros. The hotel provided us with a timetable which was very helpful. There are only 4 departures every day and 5 bus returns so make sure you know what time your bus is coming back - very simple to understand though.
One morning we decided to have a lie in and breakfast finishes at 10:00AM. We walked in approx 09:45AM and there was a few guests still eating. We were greeted by a very frustrated young blonde girl who rolled her eyes and began to question the fact we had been sold a ticket at reception for buffet breakfast. We only wanted a few things to eat despite paying 7 Euros each. We then felt very under pressure and 'watched' the whole time. She shouldn't have greeted us like that. We are on holiday! Change your attitude young lady! Other than that i have no gripes with the hotel itself.
Did not have an evening meal in the hotel so cannot comment.
The hotel put on entertainment twice in one week on random days - Two men with drums and two women who did dancing - Very entertaining.
There was so lovely restaurants in the area to walk to - Id recommend the Steak grill place - Restaurante Marlet Grill Barbacoa the steak was incredible also Cafe Del Nord was a fave. The staff were very friendly and the set menu was extremely good and very good priced. Excellent sea food there too.

Went to a restaurant in Fornells called Sa Nansa - The food was incredible.
All in all a really good break - Great for couples not expecting a busy night life or a family or want a relaxed break away.

Room tip: They do offer Sea view rooms - Request this. Hotels facing the sea get sunlight in the evening from 4pm onwards.

Lovely staff, fantastic views, food is a bit samey and too often they had Bolognese but without the meat. The barman is hilarious. Live music a bit old school definitely for the older crowd. Our room overlooked the main road and was dated and small, but very comfortable and with air con, plus balcony with pool views. What's great about this place is there is the main pool with sunbeds, but its hardly ever crowded as everyone is sunbathing the back exit on the grass overlooking the sea. Not too far a walk from a supermarket. We had a bit of rain and thunder being mid September. I'd recommend going during the summer for more sun. Not sure how much there is to do in the area as I was diving most days and my partner had a cold so we didn't venture far. If you want great views, great service, tranquillity for great value for money with all inclusive including water then this is a great place.

Stayed here in july atmosphere was lovely and relaxing staff were lovely bus stop about a minute walk from our apartment that took you to a few wee villages or the main town for just a few euro. Would say hotel is not suitable for mobility impaired as lots of steps. Pool is not huge but plenty of room and was walk in warm from the minute we arrived. The little cove is amazing and only for use of hotel so quiet walk diwn to it is a bit steep. Markets on most days there is a night one that the bus will take you to and back from or taxi was about 15 euro. If you only do 1 thing then make it the evening island/jeep tour it is amazing staff are so knowledgeable and uou end up on a clifftop over looking a beautiful bay while they serve you local delicacies was the most amazing part off our holiday we did it on the last day. Apartment was dated but clean wifi expensive you could only have 1 device on each code purchased. Aircon is only in the sitting room its a roof fan in bedroom which isnt very good. But must say we had a brilliant holiday
