We remembered Sa Barraca from a visit to Menorca in 1990. Having looked at the two reviews on here we decided to go back again and ate there last Saturday.

Our biggest error was in thinking that we could have a starter and still eat the half shoulder of lamb. The starter was the delicious gazpacho, but it did take up room and meant that the lamb defeated us despite being very good and accompanied by some decent veg and nicely cooked fries.

We had a bottle of the house rosado and shared a tarte manzana as pudding. I finished up with a cafe cortado.

If we'd just had the main course the bill would have been about E55. We enjoyed what we had and noted that we were the only English there - a recommendation from the locals.

A rather different experience and well worth a try.

“Worth finding!”

One of the true hidden gems on the island, the Lamb is well known for being the best on the island with the steaks also outstanding. The Gazpacho (made without water) is amazing, we have been visiting the island for many years and the highlight is always a trip here a wonderful setting full of character but it is out in the countyside on the Mahon Fornells road just before the Son Parc turn.

“Love it!”

I go to this restaurant every time I come to Menorca and every time have been good.The owner is always friendly and makes you feel special. There is an inside restaurant which is very cosy and a delightful beautiful garden area.

Both service and food are very good. They have excellent steak, local seafood and suckling pig to die for.

Highly Recommended restaurant! Looking forward to my next trip so I can visit this place again!
