Your host Donald and Pip and sure to make you feel so welcome that you won't want to leave. Casitas tenoio offers camping or B&B accommodation nestled into a beautiful natural setting which is home to sloths, toucans, monkeys and the resident farm animals. We saw all of the above up close and personal. Donald and pip are a wealth of information and can help you to arrange tours and activities in the local and surrounding area a well as recommend other places
throughout costa rica.

This was an unexpected highlight of our trip. A family-run farm and naturalist's dream-setting that gives you a taste of family and community living in Costa Rica. Only two private cabins, yet run like a B & B. Donald, a local and professional guide, and his wife, a lovely Aussie and educator, are passionate about becoming self-sufficient and growing/contributing to their community. They will openly share their intense understanding of the flora and fauna and culture of the area with interested guests.

This place is amazing, very beautiful withT friendly, helpful staff and clean, beautiful rooms. Highly recommended! The region is spectacular, and the owners can provide you with much info about the area and about rural Costa Rica.

We camped out (they provided the tent, sleeping mats, sheets and pillows, and even had it all set up when we arrived) for three nights and felt more comfortable here than we did at some of the hostels we booked during our trip. The camping area is nice and simple (and back from the road and cabinos and kitchen), with a soft floor, sides open (a wind/rain screen on one side) a roof for rain protection, and clothes lines for hanging laundry. What more do you need? Both Pip and Donald were friendly and helpful, which is a real blessing to travellers, and we appreciated their dedication to their environment and community. Although it is a bit far out to those who can't afford taxi's this way and that (or those who don't pay proper attention to the map and think: "we can walk it; it's not *that* far"), we loved the fact that it was out of the way and not cluttered with hotels and gift shops. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to any travellers to the area.

Our two night stay at Casitas Tenorio was an incredible beginning of a 10 day business/ vacation in Costa Rica. Pip & Donald were gracious hosts. The cabinos lovely-- clean, comfortable & convenient. We loved roaming the farm, viewing Toucans & howler monkeys ... The Rio Celeste hike & Nocturnal Frog walk they arranged were beyond our expectations. And I haven't even mentioned the delicious farm fresh breakfasts!! Just thinking about it makes me want to go back. Would highly recommend Casitas to anyone. They could charge twice as much & it would still be a bargain!
