My husband and I along with another couple spent a night here in June 2013. It was our first night in Costa Rica. What a fantastic introduction to that country! We chose this location based on the great reviews and it's convenient location between Liberia airport and Monteverde, our next destination. Daniel, the owner of Sueno Celeste, arranged a driver for us from the airport which was so helpful. The grounds of the B&B are so beautifully landscaped. We had a lovely room, simple and nicely decorated with our own coffee maker. MMMmmm . . . Costa Rican coffee. After we settled in, Daniel sat down with us and told us about the area, where to eat, what to do. He recommended a restaurant just down the road. It's a pizzeria that also serves a lot of local food. I had the best dinner of chicken Chalupas! We had an early night after a long day of traveling. The next morning we woke up early. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful view of the Tenorio Volcano. We could see it perfectly from the patio off our room next to the pool. Daniel made us a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and eggs from their own chickens. We continued to enjoy the view of the volcano along with hummingbirds in the trees nearby. After breakfast, we hiked briefly on the property before heading to Monteverde. My only regret is that we didn't stay at least one more night so we could have explored the area. I would've enjoyed seeing Rio Celeste. Next time.
