“Wonderful views, great hospitality and fantastic food”
Reviewed January 17, 2015 for a stay in February 2014

We have been going to Berry Park for 16-17 years and Val and Mike always make us feel at home. We often go with a big group, including children (now mostly grown up), and yet we feel we are treated like part of the family.

This is the first time we have stayed in the Penthouse and we would certainly recommend it. It is very spacious and the views are fantastic, so much so that there was great competition for the window seat each evening. Aside from the views there are also plenty of invigorating walks in and around Welcombe. These are great to do in any season. However, we particularly enjoy our visits in autumn and winter when there is nothing better after a long walk than coming back to a roaring fire and a glass of wine in the living room at Berry Park. We always enjoy our visits and Val's cooking alone makes it worth the trip.

“A perfect holiday”

We have been visiting Berry Park for many years and have stayed in several different apartments, but Wild Rose is definitely our favourite, mainly because of the stunning views. We particularly love visiting in the autumn to experience the storms and gales that batter the windows and send the weather vane whirling like a Dervish. The window seat is a favourite place to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine before enjoying one of Val's fantastic dinners. There is much to see and do in the area but we tend to stay close to home, walking the cliffs, collecting pebbles on the beach, climbing the moon rocks and puffing back up the steep path through the ancient forest for a well-earned cream tea.

My family have been visiting Berry Park now for almost 13 years and is the place we head to for peace and quiet, Val & Mike are very welcoming hosts and are like family to us, Highly recommended is Val's home cooking the food is outstanding and all cooked with home grown veg and local produce. Wild Rose is our favorite apartment simply because of the stunning views from the window seat with views across the fields to the sea and the stunning sunsets!.
There are some great walks to do nearby and our favorite is to walk the valley to the beach, Welcombe beach is a spectacular beach with fantastic rock formations and great rock pooling!. Overall this is a great place to take the family and we will always go back.

“We love Berry Park”
Reviewed May 2, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Berry Park is a special place to holiday; lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, great hosts, lovely grounds, delicious home-cooked meals in the restaurant if you so wish, and a great location in the countryside yet close to stunning coastal walks and beaches of north Devon and Cornwall. We keep going back and love the amazing sea views and sunset from the window. A whole family favourite!
