We visited for drinks in the afternoon after 'rock pooling' on the beach and loved it so much we came back for dinner in the evening. The owners were incredibly welcoming, the food great and we thought the retro decor was very cool and inspirational. We came with a 5 year old, two teenage girls and us two adults, plus dog. All of us loved what we had to eat and the cosy experience. Would love to come back one day!

My wife and i had a super meal at the Smithy on a Tuesday evening. We were made to feel very welcome and could not fault the food one bit. Shame not all eating pubs are like this. Well done and keep up the good work. We will be back and more importantly we will recommend to others!!

We visited for lunch last week and we weren't disappointed with both the food and the service. Both were excellent and Rich was very welcoming, even printing off a recipe for their nut-roast burger so that we could make it at home (not sure he's going to share all their culinary secrets mind you). I had the chorizo burger and it was extremely good. But the cherry on top of the cake was the Belgian Chocolate Truffle tart with ice cream - wow! That was lip-smackingly good.

There's only one negative - we live too far away to visit regularly!! Visit this inn, you won't regret it.

Came here with the family for an end of holiday treat. Great real ales, excellent food and such friendly, real life service! Beef & Chorizo burger excellent, line caught mackerel very fresh indeed And deserts to die for. Great value money and great interiors! A real treat for the end of our holiday - just a shame they're 200 miles from home in Shropshire. Thanks.
