“Levernois is heaven!”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

The village of Levernois offers a gastronomical heaven with L'Hostellerie Le Levernois. Very good Burgundy kitchen at La Garaudiere and also a nice mixture of everything (also the price)priced) at Le Bistrot du Bord de l'eau. Making an reseravation is neccessary (closed on Tuesday). Very nice small restautant where you can sit in- and outsite. Everything is okay!

“Nice atmosphere, but averge food”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

The setting is lovely, even when eating inside next to the old fireplace and the garden is lovely for a drink before dinner. We ate at the Bistro which is the cheaper restaurant to the Michelin starred one at the Hotel. There is a very limited menu, of only 2 or 3 starters, mains and deserts. The food was nice, but very simple, ie salmon or chicken thigh which you would not expect to eat in such a place. We did not try it but apparantly the cheese plate is delicious. Nice place to go to enjoy the setting and very good service, but maybe worth splashing out in the restaurant next door...

“Excellent food,great service”
Reviewed May 21, 2012 via mobile

A great find, recommended by our host to visit. We are foodies, and Le Bistrot exceeded our expectations. High quality food, nice atmosphere, and good staff. The wine list is unpretentious but the quality is superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to visitors.

“Excellent service”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

We did not actually eat there as they had no table free, but I had tomention the fact that after leaving the residence on our bike, with just a list of places we MAY be lucky to find and... get a table. No help was given by the reception in the Residence Les alles du Green to do any bookings. It was late we were hungry and tired, on a bike.
The maitre d'aute of the Bistro was standing outside as he had just welcomed domeone is that had booked. On his phone he tried one restaurant that had no tables nad then whrn we pointed out one on the list he tried that one of which he had never heard of. They had a table for us. He coould've just sent us on our way and NOT bothered. The menu looked VERY GOOD!!!
Thanks for your help.
