Not a wine bar in usual terms, looks a little run down from the outside, like an old rum shack, sadly they had ran out of rum punch and no malibu. Very casual friendly service, food was tasty and great value. Seemed to be an issue with getting meals out for the whole table together there was 8 of us that took 10 minutes before we all had our plates. Had a chat with the owner who was a real nice guy. If you are having trouble sleeping, try the apple pie a la bouche.... . Not your usual tourist trap, lots of locals , good beachfront location. Will definately visit again fishcakes were yummy!

We drove to Speightstown to have our last night meal in Barbados after our two week holiday. We had researched restaurants on TA and had two in mind. Unfortunately when we arrived we soon discovered they were both closed for the evening. We didn't want to spend a fortune as although we didn't mind spending a bit because it was our last night, from experience we had found that you didn't often get what you paid for, in fact you get a lot less, compared to other countries.
So we were hesitant when we found this place with reasonable prices but very noisy local bar. We were led upstairs to a room over looking the sea and had the place to ourselves. We had a fantastic waitress who seemed to be working her socks off as she was also running the bar downstairs. She made great suggestions and the food was great. In fact the best restaurant for us in the whole trip. Would definitely go back.

This is the price of the beer in BBD.. We stayed just up the road and used this place many times for lunch after diving...very reasonable freshly cooked food ( home cooked home cut fries,..try the fishcakes and fish cutter) and the lovely crowd of locals who we got to know by then end of our trip, with always a comment on the cricket,.the upper bar overlooks the bay A super proprietor...plays his own jazz on Friday night and provides a bajan buffet on Sunday..this is a local, nothing fancy, but a warm welcome of real Speightstown kept us coming back.

This is one of my favourite places to go on a Saturday and enjoy pudding and souse. Small portion with a Smirnoff Ice (or two) for less than $20. I usually sit outside on the patio and enjoy the cool breeze but if you're inside when there's a cricket game on you can listen to the regulars discussing the good and bad of the West Indies team.

We ate here only once, although the owner was very friendly and chatty we were not keen on the food. I had mahi mahi (the local fish) with rice but it was very dry and uninteresting.
