we came here for brunch with our family (including infant). they were very accommodating and had live music on the bottom floor, the band sang a nice tune to which our infant rocked out. everyone was very friendly and sociable. upstairs there are some indoor seats and an outdoor section. the outdoor section is a bit hot, maybe the need at least one more fan because it seems to be in a nook between buildings with less breeze than some of the other places we visited. food wise, they had a big spread for the buffet with very good jerk chicken, ham slices, and stuffing. the waitresses came around several times to refill water, take dishes, etc. overall it was a good experience.

We have just tumbled out of our holiday and straight into Christmas, however, I would like to pass on some thoughts about la Bouche.
We have had a wonderful holiday at the nearby Sugar Cane Club and since we prefer to spread the money into the local community, we decided against going all inclusive and were looking for a local meal option.
La Bouche was not the first place that we went to, but once we had found it ,it pretty much had our loyalty.
It isn't a wine bar in the accepted sense. It is much more of a bar that does very good local food.
That the place seems to be popular with the locals as well as the tourist trade is it's highest recommendation and a colourful indicator of local life.
The cocktails were generous, the host, his sister and staff charming, and the food as good as you will get. All served in informal and friendly surroundings .
We shall certainly go back next year.
Thank you Austen.

Another return to this excellent place full of local charm and character. Despite being a busy karaoke night we were served without undue delay. As ever the fish cakes were wonderful. We were even serenaded by the proprietor himself with an excellent rendition of 'Georgia'. We will definitely be back again this holiday and in the future.

I've been visiting La Bouch for the past couple months and finally had their burger. It is absolutely tasty. I must have gotten a bad batch of fish cakes a few months ago because those weren't nice at all, but I see someone else thinks they were. Very nice on Monday nights as they have karaoke, it's a lot of fun. The owner is quite welcoming and the staff is good, not always prompt but it's nothing to complain about.

I'm looking forward to returning to this excellent little bar and restaurant in December. If you want a taste of the local life this is the place to come! Don't expect the menu and decor of the high end West Coast hotels, but then don' expect their prices either! Simple well cooked local food. Crab cakes to die for!
