“The real Barbados”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Stayed at Schooner Bay and lucky to be a walk from this place! Just a local bar serving up great local food at very affordable prices. Superb hospitality and lovely seafront location. We ate at all the islands top restaurants but this rates high on our list for well cooked, no frills, great Bajan food. Frequented mainly by friendly locals too. Fantastic!

“Fresh fish lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

We ate lunch here in the quaint little Fishermens Pub and loved the simple ordering system, where you can see all the food which is freshly prepared and make your selections. Great chance to sample different things and all the seafood is freshly caught and cooked that day. You can sit out on a covered deck by the sea with a nice view and the sound of the sea. Excellent food, delicious. Well worth a visit.

“A must visit on the west coast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

Great Bajan food at cheap prices, try the fish cakes, or local catch of the day, staff are warm and friendly, cheap drinks, and what a beautiful setting. This is a must visit on the west coast, for a real taste of Barbados, Had lunch here twice in 2 weeks average price £12 for 3 mains with drinks. Excellent value for money.

“Keep doing a fantastic job!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

Mr Armstrong and team, THANK YOU for your wonderful restaurant right next to the sea! You and your staff do a fantastic job and serve some of the best Bajan food on the island. I enjoyed the warm welcome offered by you and your staff and my family (which includes 3 children) felt truly catered for. The macaroni pie with beef stew was just like how my Bajan grandmother - one of the finest cooks in her day - used to serve it and don't get me going on your generous servings of breadfruit and fried fish! Mouth watering Bajan cuisine which provides a refreshing contrast to the American style fast-food offered by other outlets. I'm definitely coming back for more!!!!

“Affordable, Tasty, Local and on the Beach!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

Fisherman's Pub is a great local eatery located on the beach in Church Street in Speightstown. They sell 100% local food at very competitive prices. I ate lunch there last week and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered rice and peas, macaroni pie, fried chicken, flying fish and tossed salad. This meal was very well prepared and tasty.

If just passing through the area and looking for something local and quick to eat, this is a great place to stop. Be sure to try the flying fish as well as the fish cakes. A few desserts as well as tea/coffee are also available.
