“Lovely setting!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2011

Cassareep, although hard to find was worth the visit. Right on the beach under the trees in the middle of Speightstown. We received a warm welcome. The eating area could have done with a little more thought to design and furnishings and looked a bit spartan. Srevice was fast, but then there were only a handfull of other guests.
Good choice of food on the menu, portions were certainly not over generous but food was well prepared and tasty. We only got four prawns ( they call them shrimps) in our curry .
There were three other restaurants along the beach. May not return to Cassareep but try those instead.

“Great value, great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2011

This restaurant seems like a well kept secret. From our visit it seems to be used by ex-pats and long term residents, but very few passing tourists. Our food was simple, but well prepared and very tasty. We had the chicken and catch of the day dinners and they were both really good. The tables are on decking with the waves coming up on the beach just a couple of metres away. The service was prompt and friendly and Sam the cook circulated around the tables to make sure everyone enjoyed the food. Price was very reasonable, less than 100BD a head for three courses and coffee. Cheapest beer I found on the island at 4.50BD for a bottle of Banks.
Only issues is finding the place as it's set a little way off the road and not well signposted, but if you look opposite Courts in Speightown you will see the restaurant entrance. It's worth the search it's a good value for money reastaurant.

“Great located beach restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2011

Great location, tucked away off the road through Speightstown. From the front one wouldn't realise that it has a great terrace right on the beach. Service was very friendly and efficient.

They have a special dish on the menu for each day of the week - when we were there it was shrimp curry, which unfortunately they didn't have, but rustled us up a good value chicken curry.

We watched a boat anchor out in the bay and its occupants swim in to make a reservation - it all seemed wonderfully relaxed!

“Wildly misses the mark”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2010

Nice setting and outdoor seating next to the beach. Stylish surrounds and what looks like a nice menu. Service however, was slack to non-existent and half the dishes weren't available. The one course we were able to have (mains - Moroccan rack of lamb and mahi mahi) was tasty if a little paltry. Worked out at £25 per head and that included one bottle of beer each. Won't be going back.
