A little off the beaten path but well worth finding. The food is excellent and good value. Be sure to make reservations - place is always busy - which is a good sign. We had the blackened king fish and ribs - loved the roasted potatoes!

Got a last minute reservation for a Saturday night. Lovely ambience, packed to the rafters. Ordered starters and mains but unfortunately there was a mix up with the order and after an hour of waiting we were told the starters had been missed but we could still have them. In the end we ended up cancelling the starters and were offered free drinks. Meal was lovely and we had room for a beautiful cheesecake for dessert. There was a problems with one of the big parties visiting and lots of heated discussions which tainted the ambience a little. Would love to go back.

The catch of the day is excellent and the ribs are finger licking good. We really enjoyed the meal. In a chattel house up the road from Bubbas. Make reservations and they are closed on Sun and Mondays. Remember cash only. Reasonable prices.

We did not have a reservation on a Friday night, but showed up twenty minutes before opening time to plead for a place at the bar. We were warmly greeted, and told that a table for two was open since it was reserved for a bit later. Three other larger parties of eager patrons (with reservations) turned up before opening, too. (The place was fully booked for both Friday and Saturday evening when we called Friday afternoon. Book early! )

We were served cheerfully and promptly. My husbands rum punch drink was excellent. Our meal of grilled shrimp and grilled potatoes, salad and cole slaw was delicious. Service was well coordinated. We observed our waitress running with two meals to complete the order a second member of the waitstaff had just seconds before brought out for a party of six . Never seen that before, and was impressed.

Most people arrive here on foot, as we did, walking from the Accra Hotel. We would suggest you bring a flash light or wear light colored clothing if you are walking back to the Main Street. Yes, there are street lights, but the area isn't brightly lit and the street does have occasional cars traveling on it.

This is a meal and location we will happily remember for years. Unusual, and off the beaten path establishments with happy patrons are just the sort of evenings we enjoy most.

We were taken to Shaker's by our taxi driver, otherwise we would definitely have missed it as it is located quite off the usual walking paths.
The place was crowded, but we managed to get a seating at the bar.
The food was excellent and service very good.
If you staying in the South Beach area, you should visit the place. Booking a table seems to be a must to ensure seating.
