The new owner, Thomas, runs an excellent restaurant. I had the catch of the day, mahi mahi, with roasted tomatoes, basil pesto, black olives and garlic. The fish was moist and wonderfully flavoured. We had the opportunity to talk with Thomas and he told us how he uses fresh herbs and even special herbs from his mothers garden. The staff was great.

We tried Rush last nite and had the grilled Tilapia dinner - it was amazing! Ranks at the top of our list now! Right across from our hotel - South Gap. Food was as good as Harlequin an Piscies which are both top of the list as well. Our fish was perfectly cooked and all of the flavours of the veg. with it so wonderful! Best dinner so far on the island. We are returning visitors to the island and have gone to many of the restaurants - this one is worth a visit. We will go back before we leave. Our server was friendly and efficient as well. I wish this new restaurant much success. Swierina and William Stratford - Canada

My brother & I dined here twice, after meeting the owner in the street, and having a nice chat with him. The place had been open less than a week when we first went there, and the food (main course was steamed marlin) was excellent, the service attentive, but not overly so, and the prices were reasonable. Very good ambience too. The wine list was very short, but the Chardonnay was very agreeable.
After that, the next visit was a big disappointment. My beef tempura chilli had a bit too much chilli. My brother's seafood fettuchini should have had a variety of shellfish, but had only prawns, and too much pasta; he left half of it. Otherwise, the wine, ambience & service were as previously. Worth a try, but . . . .
Starters & desserts were O.K., not excellent.

This resturant is directly across the street from Harlequin and we passed by here several times and decided to give it a try one evening... excellent food served hot and excellent service. What more could you ask? This place is The Gap's best kept secret. The vegetable spring rolls were cooked just right with an asian-style hoisin sauce and the pork flavored with garam masala spices served with rice was divine! Great wine list and friendly service, this meal was definitely one of the best we've eaten on the island! Menu has lots of variety, something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Having just returned from Barbados I felt it appropriate to comment on Rush. We unfortunately found the restaurant late in our stay, having tried most others, and avoided it as we confused it with the previous ownership. Once we had tried the place we found it addictive! The food was superb quality, the service extremely attentive and helpful, and the 2 owners a pleasure to talk to. It was in particular a pleasure to talk to Thomas, who was responsible for the kitchen, he was enthusiastic about his products, happy to share his recipes and methods, and loved a chat. We were often the last in the restaurant as we were carried away with the chats we had with him. Overall a brilliant experience - we recommend it to all who visit St Lawrence Gap.
