our room was very small, I would have upgraded if I knew ahead of time.
The room was not meant for two prople to stay in a week.

Room Tip: Do not choose the hotel room

Everything good you read about this hotel is true. The staff certainly go out of their way to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Special mention to Daniel the manager who is totally on the ball and keeps everything on track. Patrick, Ian, Eerie and O Neil poolside are truly nice people who take pleasure in knowing everything is to your satisfaction. If you can afford it go for the one bedroom suites as you get a lot more for your money. The food is great and they have sorted the long waiting times previously mentioned. We can't say anything negative about this place they work hard to ensure your holiday is the best ever. Best wishes to all the staff hope to see you soon. Ant & Wendy

We booked three weeks, first week was ocean view with 1 bedroom and kitchen, second week room with side view, and third week one bedroom and kitchen with side view. Hotel is new and very nice, staff very helpful and friendly. Pool area excellent, beach is nice to look at but not good for swimming - rough coral underfoot you should take beach shoes if you want to go in. In the rooms there is a large TV in both the sitting area and the bedrooms. Problem is if the TV has a problem there are no spares - they swap from an unoccupied room, which happened. If no spares are obtained eventually it will keep getting worse.

Room Tip: The ocean view rooms are the best bet. My wife preferred floor two and up as the balcony was protected from any rain.

Stayed a week in a sea view suite at Ocean 2. The view was amazing. The apartment was a great size and had every modcon you could think of. The balcony was especially nice with both sun loungers and table and chairs to eat from. There was a swimming pool both on ground level and roof top.

The location is great. Away from the main drag, the hotel is quiet for sleeping but only a 20 min walk from one end of the gap to the other. They are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy, but the gap is not cheap. We ate in the hotel once. The food was very good and the service superb. But with so many lovely restaurants nearby we ate out most nights. Our favourites were Pisces and Harlequin. If money is a bit tight they are convenience stores to buy food and eat in. You can then enjoy the hotel bar or pubs outside such as McBride’s. McBride’s is also an option if you want to eat cheaper together with The Steakhouse opposite the Southern Palms, Cafe Sol opposite Bellinis or Paulo’s Churrasco Do Brasil.

We walked and got local busses everywhere. Would highly recommend going into Bridgetown (try the walking tour in the free Barbados Holiday Guide, handed out at most establishments around the Gap). We only got a taxis once, to Oistens (one used by the hotel) and our driver Dee was friendly, with a great passion and love for the country.

I am definitely going to visit the Ocean 2 again in the not too distant future and would highly recommend to others. The staff at the Ocean 2 were fabulous. I would like to thank them all for making our holiday memorable.

My wife and I decided to go to Barbados as we had never been to the Caribbean before. We looked at a few hotels and reviews on Tripadvisor before deciding on Ocean Two. We were certainly glad that we chose this place. It's fantastic! We chose one of the one bedroomed apartments as we wanted a bit more space and we weren't disappointed. The quality of the rooms are first class. Very spacious lounge and kitchen area, a bathroom you could have held a dance in, and a lovely big balcony that overlooks the sea and pool area.

The staff are all very helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. Happy hours at the pool bar are not to be missed, with Shane, Chantelle and Latoyah always very helpful. The sun loungers around the pool area are the comfiest ever.

They seemed to have got the lengthy wait at breakfast time sorted out as while we were there they changed to a buffet style breakfast whereas when we arrived everything had to be ordered at your table. Of course you could cater for yourselves as there is everything you need in the well equipped kitchen.

There are lots of places to eat in 'The Gap' as it is known locally. Our favourite restaurant was Pisces where we had some delicious fish dishes. I wouldn't go back to the 'Waterside' restaurant as I felt it over-priced for food that was just ordinary.

Getting around the isdland is quite good fun if you hop on one of the buses. The fare is $2 no matter where you go and the small van size buses are plentiful, but don't hop on one if you are of a nervous disposition as the journey can be quite eventful at times!

Overall our first Barbados holiday was fantastic, thanks mainly to everyone at Ocean Two and we will definitely be returning there again.

Room Tip: Like other posts on here, get a one bedroomed apartment overlooking the sea.
