What a great find for a first trip to Barbados. Booking was easily done online. Charles (one of the owners) was quick to respond with a wealth of useful information on Barbados and the local area. He also assure you have a ride to and from the airport. When we arrived, we were even more impressed with the property and the cottage.

It was great to have a full kitchen with fridge and stove, a living room area with Direct TV, bed area and bathroom with walk-in shower. Outside there is covered dining area with Hammock and chairs. Easy access to the outdoor pool area. It was great to wake up with a quick swim or to cool down in the afternoons.

Charles and his family spent part the time during our visit on holiday nearby up the coast in Barbados. However, he took the time to meet with us and make sure all our need were being met. Ask him about any recommendations of places to visit, and they'll be spot on. One of the lovely Jack Russells stayed on the property during the trip. She was wonderful company and there to greet your from your ventures outside the property.

The beautiful Accra Beach, restaurants, Tiki Bar and convenience store are nearby with a couple minutes walk. The neighborhood is very safe. Charles has contacts for a rental car company that will bring your automobile to the cottage in reasonably quick time. They will also pick up the car from the cottage when you are done.

All in all, a great place to stay and somewhere we'd plan to stay again on a future visit to Barbados.

Pictures are pretty nice but once you are there it looks much better. Kitchen is well equipped with everything that you might need and lots of extras (spices etc so you don't have to spend your money). Sliding door from living room invite you to a roomy outdoor area with dinning table where we had all our meals when we ate at our place. Next to it very comfortable over sized chairs to sit, have a cocktail and enjoy a pool view. Hammock is there as well. Bedroom has nice, comfortable bed and quiet AC. Bathroom is large and taking shower is a breeze. Place is all fenced in. There are 2 very friendly little dogs on property. We felt very safe in our place as well as when we were walking around. Boardwalk is 5 min away with all restaurants and other extras. Now: Maria and Charles!! They more like your family than just your hosts. From day one you are given all their phone numbers and rides to local food store. They offer coffee in the morning and ask about your day at the afternoon. Yet we had a full privacy anytime we wanted. Pool was a great addition to complete our stay. It was not our first trip to Barbados, but we liked this place so much we already booked it for our next vacation.

Maria and Charles are gracious hosts. The cottage is akin to a mother-in-law suite, attached but private to the main house. Your hosts are very busy with business and family and respect your privacy. They are very hellpful set up a rental car and shuttle from the airport. We loved their two Jack Russels that always welcomed us at the gate when returning to the cottage and in the mornings with their little noses pressed to the patio door. Everything is within a short walk, convenience stores and restaurants. If you want serious grociers will will need to walk a bit further and perhaps take a cab back. The location is also close to Accura beach, one of the best beaches on the south shore. It is very rough still for swimming. I almost drown twice due to the rip tides. For better swimming, i understand that the west coast beaches are better, near Hole town.
