I recently had dinner at Tapas as my family and I do each year when in Barbados. This year we decided to make a dinner of tapas instead of ordering the traditional meal plate. The Thai fish cakes were outstanding and the beef spring rolls very good. Spicy wedgies are nice but one may expect more than 3 or 4 potato wedges. Everyone who partook enjoyed the calamari. The only disappointment was the full order of muscles, which were a bit broken up and on the well done side. Dessert was the highlight with a new one for me, pistachio creme brule. The spoon was passed around the table and all declared it the winner although the cheesecake was also excellent. I intend to search for a recipe for this heavenly delight. Service was friendly and quite good and the price overall was good value and included a bottle of wine and coffees to finish. Tapas adds a 12% service charge to the bill so be aware that a small additional tip should be sufficient. If you go, reserve in advance and try to get a table "on the rail" for the best experience. If you request a seating around 6:00 p.m., you should also be treated to a lovely sunset. Enjoy Tapas. We always do.
