Coconut Court isn't luxury, but it is a budget traveler's dream. Right on the bus line, right on the beach AND a pool, our own kitchenette & private balcony, and super friendly service. It was great to come "home" during happy and hour and sip punch on "our" beach. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and we found the other patrons friendly too. A great atmosphere all around.

This is a great hotel if you want to relax. Its right on a beautiful beach with a lovely reef to snorkel on. Its not luxurious but it has all you need. The rooms are very clean and beds big and comfortable including the one for our daughter. We weren't in one of the more modern rooms but we had a brilliant sea view. Other rooms had flat screen TVs while ours was much older and smaller. No loss for us as we didn't go to Barbados to watch tv but if that matters to you then make sure you book the right room. Food was lovely although we didn't eat there much as the choice for vegetarians was limited. There is a lovely Italian across the road which also does takeaway which had plenty of veggy options. Takeaway is great when you don't want to get all done up after a long day out.
The fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster are great as you don't always want to go out for meals especially when you're travelling with a child. we sometimes like to just sit on the balcony with some fruit and salad.
The hotel is well placed for getting about the island, the bus stop is right outside.
the activists desk was great: we went diving, snorkelling and horse riding trips organised by them. They were just as helpful about where to get the bus/taxi to and from to do things on your own.
Our daughter is 12 and she says she doesn't want to go anywhere else on holiday again. She met lots of other lovely children in the hotel and they all just hung out having fun in the pool, sea or beach together. This gave us plenty of time to read books and watch the world cup in the bar.
Best of all though are all the staff. They are just so great. They really make the holiday, the bar and restaurant staff are just so lovely and helpful.
So its not five star, its not a resort but if you want a fun time on a fabulous beach the the coconut court is the place to go

We were pleasantly surprized by this jewel in the town of Hastings. Our room was located in the older part of the resort and the decor was a throwback to the fifties, loved it. The balcony overlooked a beautiful beach, gardens and pool. One can have the best of both worlds, splashing in the surf or hanging out at the pool or hot tub. For those who have little ones, a small pool complete with waterfall is available. Dining was enjoyable and food was good! Thumbs up to Antonio who takes care of the beach bar! He introduced me to a wonderful cranberry cocktail and was a jjoy to talk to. We took a tour of Barbados, booked through the resort. If it is your first time to Barbados, I highly recomend this tour. Our tour guide, part of the family that owns the resort was excellent. Lots of humor and good knowledge of the island. We stayed for four nights and were sad to leave. Would love to return.

Room Tip: If you are unable to do stairs, ask for ground floor. This is also helpful going to and from the di...

Our stay at Coconut Court was as a result of needing a budget extra night on top of a 14 day stay at Bouganvillea Beach Resort. The hotel is in a good location right on an attractive beach at Hastings, close to plenty of shops, restaurants and other good beaches. It is also not too far from the nightlife at St Lawrence Gap.
The staff were very warm and friendly particularly the barman at the beach bar who serves a powerful rum punch at happy hour! After 3 of these I could barely make it back to my room despite the fact I soaked it up with a delicious curry.
Apparently the hotel is located in a Turtle nesting area so if you are lucky and discrete you may be lucky enough to see one.
The beach has a safe waist high bathing area shielded by its own coral reef. The entry to the sea is a bit stony but then it becomes sandy under foot.
The hotel kindly let us remain in the room an hour longer than the published 12noon as we had a 5.15pm flight home. The room no 37 was spacious but spartan. It was not one of the recently refurbished suites. We had paid a budget late booking price so we did not expect too much.
It had a basic kitchen and en suite bathroom but the decor was bland. A table and chairs would not go amiss. The kettle did not work but a call to reception received a quick response and a replacement. The rooms appearance was clean but my wife had dirty soles after walking across the floor, we have not used this as a cleanliness test before so we don't know if this is typical???
One other thing to mention is the fact that the hotel is on a busy road so rooms could be a little noisy in the day with honking boogie buses and the bar over the road plays loud music in the evening.
Overall though, a nice, well managed, good value hotel with great staff. I don't think you will be disappointed unless you are used to expensive luxury hotels.

Room Tip: Unless you want a budget room ask for one of the refurbished rooms.

While not a luxury hotel, they do offer food in their restaurant with a variety of choice and at reasonable prices. The employees are helpful and friendly whoever you deal with. The restaurant offers themed nights so you are not 'stuck' with the same menu every single day of the week.

Room Tip: Alas, the sea is not great for bare feet as it's very rocky here.

We were first-timers at the Coconut Court and in Barbados. We cannot wait to go back! Originally, we booked the Island View Apartment, which even though it was across the street was very clean and spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (more than we expected). It also had a nice balcony. We stayed 4 comfortable nights there, and upgraded to an ocean view studio for the remaining 4 nights. It was so relaxing to just listen to the waves and see that beautiful water. Other reviews are not kidding when they talk about the difference staying in a family run hotel. You really DID feel like you were part of the family. In fact, I was able to see my first granddaughter moments after she was born thanks to the wonderful lobby staff making sure that I was situated where I could get the best WiFi signal. It truly meant a great deal to me. They also asked about my new little princess everyday for the rest of our stay! Everyone we encountered here was just so gracious. Loved being able to participate in the release of the Hawksbill hatchlings. Thank you, Linda, for inviting your guests to be part of history! We had 3 of the Buffet Dinners and loved every one! The dining staff was great also! Don't forget to bring your snorkel gear, but they do sell it there, too. The ladies attending the gift shop are very helpful also. We spent several hours snorkeling the reef off the beach of the hotel and saw so many different fish!
Thanks, Ted, for the great tour, and to your beautiful wife for setting up our other tours as well!
We highly recommend the Coconut Court Beach Hotel and can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: Island View rooms in Annex have a full kitchen-they are nice-but no ocean view.

Lovely hotel in good location. Clean and tidy rooms. Staff really friendly and service exceptional all around the hotel. Really pleased we chose to stay at Coconut Court. The hotel has a really relaxed atmosphere. Definitely work upgrading to a sea view room. Think the hotel spans over two sides of the road so being sea view side is a must in my opinion.

Overall, fantastic stay!
