This is a very nice hotel, our room (86), was one of the refurbished rooms and was very well maintained & cleaned.

All the staff we encountered were friendly and polite but an extra special note goes to Antonio in the Seagrape Beach Bar.

The hotel is within easy reach of several very good eateries including Freds Bar, Blakeys and Tapas.

The Boardwalk, which starts a couple of hundred metres from the hotel, makes a wonderful early morning walk to Rockley beach. It is also policed until 10pm so is safe from a late night stroll.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have never done a review before but after spending the past 9 months before travelling religiously checking reviews before we travelled i felt it right to write one myself!
Me and my family travelled to Barbados for the first time & spent 10 days. After reading the mixed reviews on here we were unsure as to what to expect. I must say in all honesty that the things that people complain about are petty & small. Yes everyones experience varies, however the same people that write those negative reviews we came across many a time whilst we stayed there and its embaressing.
The main thing is the hotel is clean in every way, the housekeeping staff were amazing, especially Amelia who always took the time to talk to us & our 3 year old daughter. Rooms have everything you need & we had no issues with the hot water or AC as some people have complained about before.
The staff here are amazing from the minute we arrived they went out of their way to ensure we had exactly what we needed! Tisha on our first night went out of her way to ensure we all had a dinner before the time it was meant to be served as we were so tired & hungry from travelling. The beach bar staff and at the deck are great! Especially Mark, Gerald and John who always took a minute to sit with us and have a conversation! We had our room upgraded on arrival which was the best suprise and we had breathtaking views. Excuse the essay but for a 3* hotel we had an experience not to forget. The beach, pool, jucuzzi and splash pool were excellent! We were worried as we hadnt read many reviews from families but my 3 yr old had the time of her life.
The live entertainment nights were great! We went during Crop over and the Bajan people as a whole are amazing, whether we were on a bus or a taxi we got soft smiles and welcoming greetings!
Overall we had a great time and would like to thank coconut court for an unforgettable stay! Would recommend it to anyone!
Thanks from the family in room 114!

Based on my experience,my time spent at this hotel was most enjoyable, comfortable. After many other experiences with poor paid internet service at other hotels in the area,t was a Gift to be able to have free WIFI as promised that actually worked. What a relief to be able to keep in touch with family left behind so readily.Polite, cheerful, yet professional staff.Special shout out to Glencora my house keeper, friendly, soft spoken with such a natural ease. My room was very clean, and all necessary amenities were delivered as promise. The view was breathtaking,no unacceptable noises. The ocation is fantastic for getting public transport if needed into the city, all the usual restos were within a 5 min walk,Simple exercise as walking was available because of the Boardwalk,no insecure feelings,as the Bars alll face the beach and are well lit .
INow that I have found this gem of a hotel, price and people friendy,I cant wait to be back with my famiy.

Room Tip: solo room 49 good connection to Wifi,no noise .good beach view to wake up to..enormous space on...

Dear friend, thank you for writing this review for us. I am happy that you loved our "little gem." We work hard to ensure that our guests are comfortable and well cared for. Our rooms are clean, really large and have everything you need for a fantastic stay. We upgraded our WIFI this summer and the speed is now so much better - glad that you liked that too. Please come on back with your family anytime, we would be happy to have you all stay with us again at Coconut Court Beach Hotel.
Best wishes, Linda, Jason, Mark and friends.

We have arrived in beautiful Barbados but have been badly let down by the coconut court beach hotel. After making our booking we amended our trip and called the hotel to explain that we would be bringing an extra person (my mother).

The hotel reservations department confirmed that this would be ok and that there would be no extra charges.

On arrival, a totally different story! We have had to pay nearly £400 extra as a suplimemt for our extra guest. The hotel then made further mistakes as to our original booking even though I had written confirmation.

We have now been left with much less spending money for the remaining 10 days here. Completely disgusted and shocked!

Further to this, please understand that this hotel was built in the late 70s and has had very little money spent maintaining it since. Like me, you probably think that the photos on the website look pretty good. Well don't forget, you get what you pay for (or think you're paying for).

This is a shabby budget hotel.

The Amarylis 100 meters down the road is a much better choice!

Good luck

Dear Sir, thank you for your recent review of our hotel This is a public forum and we encourage all of our guests to write about their holiday experience at Coconut Court Beach Hotel. Unfortunately your review does not state any of the facts. Please permit me to enlighten our readers.

On March 23rd you booked your stay for four persons (2 adults and 2 children) in an Ocean View Room and requested two double beds. Confirmation was sent to you on the same day, March 23, 2013 where we asked you to please send us your flight details so that we could arrange your complimentary airport transfer.

You telephoned the hotel on August 7, 2013 stating that you could not locate your confirmation letter and asked for it to be resent. We sent this to you on the same day. No reply was recorded.

On arrival at the hotel on August 22, 2013, you checked into the hotel along with your wife and 2 children. We received no complaints from you about the quality of your accommodation or the service offered to you.

However, on the morning of August 25, 2013 the Restaurant Supervisor telephoned the Front Desk Manager to let her know that there had been five persons eating breakfast each morning and that the fifth person (your mother) was not a registered occupant of your room. This was only discovered after the waiter got suspicious and insisted that you sign your breakfast bill.

Your Mother's name was not on the reservation, registration card and she never checked into the hotel along with you, your wife and children. Four persons is the maximum occupancy for our largest hotel rooms - we do not accommodate 5 persons in any of our hotel rooms.

When asked, you told the Manager on Duty that you had telephoned the hotel and had changed your reservation to include your Mother and that you had been told that there would be no extra charge. You could not recall the name of the person that you spoke with and you had no supporting documentation or emails.

Further investigation showed that you had refused any assistance to your guest room on arrival - room #54 located on the top floor. When we asked you why your Mother had not checked into the hotel along with the rest of the family, you told us that she had been retrieving luggage from the taxi. We told you then that our rooms did not accommodate five persons and that you were in violation of hotel, safety and fire regulations by not registering your Mother at the Front Desk.

We agreed that we would make an exception in your case and permit all five of you to remain in one guest room but that you would be required to pay an additional fee of US$587.28 for your Mother. There are costs associated with each person staying in a guest room - cost of breakfast, water, electricity, housekeeping and linen etc. Today is September 2nd - we finally got your Mother's signature on the registration card yesterday - 10 days after she arrived.

Coconut Court was purchased in 1975 by my parents Charlie and Lorraine. It had forty rooms back then. We have added several wings to the hotel and we now have 112 studios and 5 apartments in the Annex. We have made significant improvements to our hotel including major room renovations in 2005, 2009, 2012 and again this summer 2013 when we renovated another 30 units to Superior Ocean Front Rooms. We have been the recipients of Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence in 2012 and again in 2013. Not perfect by a long shot but "shabby?" I think that is really taking it too far.

Over the years we have welcomed guests from all over the world and have made some great friends along the way. Unfortunately, we have also had to deal with a few unreasonable and dishonest persons too. You certainly have earned your place amongst them!

Who would have known that the hotel business could be filled with such mystery, intrigue and excitement? I will definitely have to include you as one of the characters in the book I am planning to write when I retire. What shall I name your character? A few good ones come to mind!

Sincerely, Not Born Yesterday.

Very accessible place & friendly staff. Enjoyed the evening events on the patio, the food was good and liked the bar options. Wonderful beach! Rec center provided great advice for setting up a scuba lesson and Ted's tour, which were both fantastic! Room was somewhat basic but loved the balcony - perfect for relaxing with some rum at night. Not over crowded but met some fun people to hang out with. All in all an excellent deal for the price and I would stay here over a more expensive resort any day!

We spent our honeymoon at Coconut Court and would recommend a stay here to anyone. Our room was enormous with a superb view and was cleaned daily. The staff were on the whole very friendly particularly Rado who showed us to our room and Antonio, John and Mark at the bar. The beach is beautiful and the beach bar has a twice daily happy hour. This hotel is excellent value for money and we hope to be lucky enough to stay here again in the future. We did have a small issue about whether or not breakfast was included with our booking but this was resolved on our first day. We ate lunch from the restaurant several times on the beach and enjoyed it very much and did the BBQ all you can eat one night as well which seemed good value for money. We hired a car for the day to explore the rest of the island and found Vaida on the activities desk to be very helpful and friendly. Thank you Coconut Court.
