Owner description: Set at the base of Mount Te Aroha in a natural bush setting, the outdoor heated leisure pools are the perfect place to relax or play. Swim Zone Te Aroha is perfect for a fun family day out, with a large pool, toddler's pool and water toys to cater for all ages. Or take time to enjoy a quiet soak in our outdoor spa.

I have visited this pool several times, and have always found it to be a great spot. It is not a large complex, but it is a good size for families with young children. The pools are my ideal temperature...not to cold to get into, but not too hot to enjoy swimming around. Because of this you can stay in for ages! The main pool is about 31 degrees, and the adjoining shallow toddler pool is about 33 degrees. There is also a large communal spa pool for a relaxing soak.

The pool provides plenty of flotation aids, and there is a large 'mushroom' in the toddler pool that has water flowing from it that kids enjoy.

There is also a bbq for hire if you would like to take your own lunch.

There is a special hydraulic chair that allows access into the pool for those who are in wheelchairs. The staff are on hand to help.

Hot showers are in the changing rooms.

All in all I think it is a nice little pool! It is right at the foot of Mt Te Aroha and there are a few bush walks around as well.

Prices in NZD as at March 2012:
Child $4.50 (including babies)
Adult $6.50
Spa extra $2
