“Wonderful, Luxury Accommodation in Peaceful Location!”
Reviewed August 3, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed at Snipe Barn for a long weekend to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday. The property is wonderful – very clean, spacious, light and airy and in a beautiful, peaceful location in the middle of a nature reserve. There is plenty of seating for everyone (dining and lounging) and a big well-equipped modern kitchen. Outside there is a large table and chairs and a BBQ. There is also plenty of parking. Our only suggestion would be a bigger or extra fridge. Admittedly, we stayed on one of the hottest weekends so far this year, but we could have done with a bit more room to keep the champagne chilled!!

The staff were all very charming and helpful and the booking process couldn’t have been easier. We enjoyed walks through the nature reserve to the bird hides and also down to the River Thames and spent time watching the boats going through the lock. We would also recommend the Trout at Tadpole Bridge for a meal – the food was fantastic.

There are 2 other barns in the complex and all together you could sleep around 34 people – great for big family gatherings.

I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

“Excellent accomodation - perfectly organised”
Reviewed July 13, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Snipe Barn was perfect for a big party for a weekend getaway. It had big spacious lounge, kitchen and dining areas with every piece of cutlery, crockery and amenity you'd want and expect. Nice outdoor tables and chairs. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with excellent bathrooms and showers. Lots of hot water for everyone.
The barn is in a very secluded, rural area. It seems off the beaten track, yet is close enough to get into Oxford by taxi/car fairly easily. The company organising the accommodation were efficient and helpful, sending directions and contact numbers etc promptly.
Highly recommended.

“Fantastic place for a large group”
Reviewed May 5, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We booked Snipe Barn for a hen weekend with a group of 14 and had a wonderful time. It is a lovely, characterful property in a stunning rural location - we saw a hare and a deer from the back garden on our first evening there!

The accommodation is very flexible and we held all of our activities for the weekend in the property and didn't want for anything - the property was well equipped to cater for the numbers that it accommodates, which is a rare luxury.

The bookings and housekeeping team were also brilliant. Very easy to contact and couldn't have been more helpful - we had quite a lot of questions and they always responded promptly and were very accommodating.

“Gorgeous accomodation in stunning surroundings”
Reviewed April 10, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

we stayed in Snipe for a weekend large family gathering, with other family members in the other barns. It is the perfect set up for this, loads of room for the children to play, lovely walks in the nature reserve with plenty wildlife and the Thames very near and great pubs to get to. Snipe was huge with ample space, large well equipped kitchen, warm and clean and we never ran out of hot water. Really bright with all the lovely big windows. There were 24 of us and we tended to congregate in Owl, but Snipe would easily have been able to accommodate everyone as well.

“Excellent haven for a large group”
Reviewed March 15, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed at Snipe Barn for my sister's hen weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodation is perfect for a larger group and we had plenty of space in this well appointed and wonderfully clean barn. The rooms are spacious and the team did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome.

Would definitely recommend and stay again. Lovely pubs and walks in the locale as well.

My family and I stayed at Snipe Barn for the week as we were in Oxfordshire for a wedding. On arrival, even with the rain lashing down it couldn't detract from how well thought out and decorated Snipe Barn was. With there being 11 staying there may have been concerns with fights over whom got which room, no such problem ever arose.

The 4 smaller bedrooms (all large doubles) were fantastic and the two main bedrooms were just the owners showing off. The bathrooms, living room and kitchen areas were just as good and were just what we were after. We hosted a BBQ one of the days, Snipe catered to 30+ people easily and the owners were even kind enough to spare us a further 2 bbqs.

The nearby walks and nature reserve are fantastic, as are the quaint nearby towns which had all shopping amenities as well as pubs galore.

There are some great golf courses nearby, we didn't get chance to play them all but got great value at Carterton golf club which was 5 mins away and only £20 green fee. Was in great condition and a good test (coming from 2 scratch Players) Def worth a visit.

Genuinely couldn't have been happier with the stay, only downside was coming home.
Would definitely stay there again. It was perfect for summer and I'm sure it would be just as good, if not better near Christmas and New Years.

Should also mention there are two other smaller barns which I'm sure are just as good as snipe if you are looking for a smaller place. You'll be well looked after!
