A splendid family run hotel in a super location. The staff and owner are very welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The hotel doen not have a restarant but they gave us some excellent recommendations locally. It is a five minute walk into town, perfect for honing the appetite. We enjoyed our four days so much we treated ourselves to an extra day on the way home

Room Tip: Superior rooms are very spacious for a small increase in cost

I have traveled a great deal and try to stay in smaller, boutique hotels. This was one of the best. The hotel itself is thoughtfully and uniquely designed. We were in a suite with a lovely view of the sea. The rooms are spacious - especially after Paris! But most importantly, the service was both warm and impeccable. The owner is friendly and helpful and excited to greet you. She is from Patrimonio, the nearby wine AOC, and gave us specific vineyards to visit. The staff are all extremely helpful. It seems completely effortless, and we really felt like no request was too much. We stayed at other very nice boutique hotels during the trip, but this was the best because it was the warmest. The others were a bit stuffy or made you feel conscious that there was a mysterious social taboo one might be breaking. Demeure also gave good recommendations for restaurants in town. I would go back here in a heartbeat. And also want to check out the owner's other hotels. Great taste and wonderful people.

On another note, the hotel is about 3 minutes walk from a little alnmost empty pebbly beach. There's a sand beach in town. And gorgeous beaches nearby you can access by boat.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to the Kalliste Suite. I was with friends, but would be GREAT for a honeymoon...

This is a very nice hotel which is well situated within easy walking distance of the centre of St Florent. The room we had was a new room which was spacious and comfortable. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Others have pointed out the lack of a restaurant but we found plenty of nice places to choose from in the town itself, and breakfast at the hotel was well done. The pool area is very nice but if you're looking for a hotel on a beach, this is unlikely to suit you. To get to nice beaches from St Florent, you can take a ferry to two nearby beaches (well worth visiting) or else drive between 5 and 10k from the town.

Very comfortable rooms, attentive service, great for unwinding. Excellent continental breakfast served on our balcony each morning. Did not miss the hotels lack of restaurant as local restaurants were a short walk away. Drinks available only in room service, a small bar would bring it up to a score of five.

This is an excellent quality small hotel of around 18 rooms/suites over three floors. On arrival we had been upgraded to a suite which was gorgeous. The bedroom had a large king sized four poster bed and "ancient" looking cupboards which also housed a flat screen TV. There was a sitting area with a huge coffee table and another flat screen TV that was housed in a quirky bookcase. The bathroom had a double basin, shower and large bathtub/whirl pool, and a separate WC. The lighting throughout the suite could be bright or subdued depending on our mood. We had a good sized balcony - all balconies overlooked the sea and also the infinity pool where sunloungers and double-loungers with hoods were placed. Outside was also a car park with each bay being shaded from the sun.

The hotel did not have a restaurant but breakfasts could be ordered the previous day and we could choose whether to eat it by the poolside, in our room or on our balcony and the staff would set up the table very quickly with an excellent selection of pastries, jams, fresh fruit, coffee, fresh juice and milk (more alternatives were on offer if requested). Food could be ordered any time from a menu found in the rooms, and once again could be eaten by the pool or in the room.

The staff were very courteous and couldn't do enough for us, spoke good English and seemed to work very long hours.

Although this hotel did not have a bar, we didn't seem to miss one, as it was situated only a short ten minute walk from the centre of Saint Florent which had many excellent restaurants facing the beautiful marina.

Room Tip: Although I can't speak highly enough of this hotel, it would not be suitable for anyone who has...

We stayed here for a week - what a beautiful hotel!. All rooms have balconies overlooking the sea, pool and the surrounding mountains. The staff offer good old-fashioned charm, personal attention, efficiency and politeness without being obvious. The hotel is a five minute walk from the centre of St Florent and has plentiful, safe parking. It isn't cheap, but with this sort of quality you wouldn't expect it to be. Jason Statham was a guest at the hotel whilst we were there. There isn't a bar area or dining room but breakfast, snacks and drinks are offered in your rooms or on the terrace. It really was a fantastic place.
