Staff were excellent. Rooms were kept very clean and linen replaced regularly. Reasonable selection of food and a great barman/ cook in Yiannis. The goat track ensures a shortcut to the main road but take a torch! Pool are was fantastic and never too busy and the hill top location made for great views and a wee breeze in the evening. Thouroughly fantastic base for a relaxing, chilled out stay.

Just returned from a fortnight staying in Hotel Ziakis. Agree with majority of comments made. Very clean and welcoming. Stunning views and lovely area. Walk down and get a taxi back. It's 5 euro's back up the hill. Noticed the prices in the bars/tavernas were all hiked up w.e.f. 13th June.
The pool area could do with more sunbeds -as always were those staying there who put their beach towels on the sunbeds at 8.00.am and left them there all day. This shouldn't be allowed.

Do get a safety deposit box - won't say any more - but there was an incident there in the last week.

This hotel is great for the price we paid. On arrival the owner showed us to our room and checked all the lights were working etc, the bathroom light wasn't working but was replaced within minutes. The room was clean and the maids came round everyday even though we were told they only come round twice a week. The hotel is halfway up a big hill so the views are fantastic of the sea and the surrounding scenery.

I can't really be too negative because of the price of this hotel but like I say the hotels location isn't the best, its halfway up a big hill which became a bit tiresome after having to push my little boys pushchair up it so many times (there is a dirt track shortcut which cuts 5 minutes of the walk to the main bars and restaurants which are located 10 mins away)

only real moan is the air conditioning costs an extra 55 euros and the shower was just a tray instead of a cubicle which caused the bathroom floor to get very wet and slippy which was very dangerous for my 18 month old son

We have just returned from a weeks break with friends. We stayed here basically because of the excellent value offered by the hotel for a weeks break.

Rooms are spotless and some of the rooms offer super views of the Pefkos bay, we stayed in room 418 and we could wake up to ocean views from our bed!! The facilities are self catering, it should be said the cooking facilities are basic with just 2 ring cooker and a fridge. More than adequate for storing a few tinnies and some breakfast provisions though!!

The pool was excellent, we were always able to get loungers round the pool whenever we arrived, with Yannis who looked after the bar, always happy to prepare some lunch and a provide a beer! In the evening things were not mega active, with a bar providing a few beers and a telly (if you really need one) into the early hours. Pleased to say free wi-fi was available in the bar and around a lot of the hotel for free.

The hotel is about a 15 min walk downhill to the resort, but this allows for quiet evenings and excellent views. The short cut you will hear about is nothing, just a path through a field that cuts off a few minute walk down the main road. We always got a 4 euro cab back up the hill, it is not worth the effort.

Food is pretty good in resort, some of the tavernas on the outskirts of town were my favourite but you will not go wrong.

I would always advice a car when abroad, Rhodes offers cars for about 25 euros a day and you can get about all over the island. There is a decent amount to see, and some of the best lunches can be had a some of the tavernas on the beaches around the island.

Happy to answer ant questions

Lee

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view
