“excellent accomodation and location”
Reviewed October 16, 2009

just returned from our second holiday at lindia thalassa and have to say it was even better than our previous visit, which we didnt think wsa possible. We have also previously stayed at pefki island which is just accross the road and owned by the same company, pefki island is also excellent!
The staff are extremely friendly and very accomodating and the place is always kept very clean. We were staying in block a which had a fantastic view out to the sea, but previously we had stayed in block d and it was absolutely fine.
The location is excellent as you are only a few steps away from a lovely clean beach and there is also a few restaurants nearby and many more about 5 mins walk away on main road.
We have tried nearly every restaurant there is and have to recommend lindos cuisine and a new place next to pefki island called the courtyard, the menu doesnt look much from outside but we found the food and service very good and excellent value, far better than philosophia, which is nearby but i think you are paying more for the view there as we found the food very average.
overall would recommend these appartments for a guaranteed fantastic stay in pretty pefkos.

Me and my boyfriend came to Lindia Thalassa hotel on the 30th Sept till 15th Oct 2009...We flew with First Choice/Thomson, we would definatly use them again as the cabin crew are very polite and helpful, we flew out from manchester at 21.50 (after being delayed just one hour) we arrived at out hotel at about 6am local time, now if you have been reading the reviews you may be aware of the 'grumpy night man' and he didnt disapoint when we arrived :) our description to our room was 'out, left and down' but in the end we found it, ha. It was just straight to bed for us when we got in our room, but in the morning when we had a look around we were very pleased with it, we seemed to have a family size room which was great, we had two balcony's a large kitchen area and a large bedroom with a very large double bed which is great to spend out and have lots of space when the weather is so hot... we didnt really do much cooking in our room we just had eggs on toast for our breakfast but there is all the kitchen equipment you need if you have wanted to. The maid service was good, they came in everyday, except sundays, to brush and mop the floors clean all the bathroom, we had new towels each day and new bedding every 3 days. The pool area is large with a lovely bar which you can also get to by swimming up to it from the pool! and there is a childens play area with swings and slides to, as we went to the end of the season the kids club was shut, but that didnt matter to us and we dont have any children! The car staff Lolos and Stavros are a great laugh and very friendly...and make AMAZING cocktails :) Then there is the beach...there is a big balcony from the end of the complex that leans over the rock edge and it is lovely to go up there and watch the sunset (we took wine too ha) there are 61 steps down to beach but they do get wet but if you take your time its fine! the beach is lovely and sandy and the sea is clear blue, warm and calm, the loungers are 4 euro each for the day that is with an umberella too...but they are very comfy, one day one the beach we fell asleep and burnt quite bad but hey it turned brown in the end! ha...you can hire a boat from the far right hand side of the beach and go fishing, I have never fished before but after a few lessons from my partner i was great i caught two fish...it was 60 euro to hire a large boat for two hours and that price includes all the fishing gear and the bate to fish with, and you get to drive the boat yourselves so you can go for a little spin in it too and it did go fast!! There are enough bars and restaurants in the town and the next town Lindos is lovely to visit for the day/night it only cost 7 euro in a taxi (one way) the only thing that was a bit annoying was the price of drinks but i suppose that is everywere not just Rhodos, but we had a fantastic holiday and cant wait to go back! We met some fantastic people there and really enjoyed every minute!
p.s sorry if the spelling is bad or i am not making sence i only got back this morning :)

Maria on reception was very welcoming at midnight, gave a us a quiet room, then as we asked for a room next to the pool she changed it for us with a smile. Room massive, extremley clean, and balcony, so all superb. As self catering we need a microwave though; sorely missed. Sheets changed 3 times, and room cleaned 6 times. we used Island blue pool as quieter, and no children. Only ten minutes to town, but enteratinment was on at hotel; though too much kareoke, and not much else. Beach wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and got married at St Pauls bay ,the pool and surrounding area was nice and clean staff were friendly and helpful .We travelled with our 7 year old son and we were put in a ground floor apartment "health and saftey" in A block with a nice view over the sea. We found the room to be uncomfotable as the beds were made of concrete (forever stubbing toes) and the kitchen was in the hallway but we always eat out so it was no problem for us. When we arrived we found the price of aircon to be quiet expensive so we went without and slept with doors open until one night that we were woke up by kittens playing in the room lol .The steps down to the beach can be slippery be careful. Ok beach seen better ,sea lovley lots of fish .St Pauls bay excellent location to get married guests all loved it and we got some great pics.If anyones getting married there look up INFINITY WEDDINGS OF LINDOS as they can help with services you may require even if youve booked through the travel agent .Overall holiday:one to remember. wedding day: AMAZING. hotel: nice .room :got used to it .

We loved this hotel, the location was perfect for us. The hotel was clean & tidy & the staff very helpful. It is part of three hotels together with the Pefki Island & the quieter Island Blue.
The hotel food is adequate if not expansive & simple but there are many resturants in easy walking distance we recommend the Elia part of this hotel group, Enigma & The Blue Bay.
The Pefkos area is quite secluded off the small strip of resturants & shops & getting away from the area to Lindos or Rhodes Town requires a taxi or a hire car we recommend "George" rent a car down by Enigma, they gave us a great deal for a days hire. The entertainment at the Lindia is at best functional there was far to much Karaoke on in the evening & some confusion as to when events took place & at which complex but there were two shinning lights the young couple who did there own set & sang live, Milli & Kirsty these talented duo not only took part in all the entertainment singing, playing pool games & dancing but ran the kids club at which they were excellent. Indeed these two were one of the great high spots of the entertainment calender dispite some confusion. Milli in fact sang on Sunday evenings with his guitar at the Elia resturant which made a excellent diversion from karaoke & he was very good. The Greek nights at the Elia were very good value with good performers.
Do not miss a trip to Lindos & the Acropolis use the donkeys if you are not good at climbing steep slopes the veiw is worth the effort.
The weather was fantastic & all round we had a great time many thanks to all the bar staff & Mandy who looked after us a lunch times, if they want some advice try changing the entertainment but keep Milli & Kirsty they were very good & talented.

We have been to Lindia Thalassa Resort three times in the past 6 years and we have enjoyed every visit. This year’s holiday was, as expected - fantastic. However we did put to use our experiences from the previous two visits to have a great time. This year we stayed the last two weeks in August, boy was it hot hot hot, most days were a minimum of 34 degrees PLUS – brilliant. From experience we purchased the air conditioning as soon as we arrived, a) it’s cheaper and b) trust me you need it. Yes the hire of the safe is a bit expensive but I just add this to the cost of the holiday, at least I knew my passports and cash were locked away safe. Again from experience you do not want a room on or near the pool as every night from 10pm the hotel entertainment kicks in. There is a mix of local traditional dance, cabaret bands and of course Karaoke (Tues night). There is a small supermarket on site and the hotel offer you a 5% or 10% discount voucher (can’t remember) when you check in on any purchase of €60. Now you may think you won’t be buying that much over a week or a fortnight – yes you will. We found we bought bottles of water and fruit juice daily – it is that hot in Pefkos, and we could have used the voucher. The only thing that bugged us at the resort was the selfish act of placing towels on the poolside loungers, there is no need as there are loads on the poolside. The hotel has a rule that you can’t place towels on loungers until after 9am; however I can guarantee you that at 1 second past 9am you will see the children of the selfish running round the pool placing the towels. Your room gets fresh towels and sheets every day except Sunday. You can’t flush paper down the loo; we found if you make sure you bring baby wipes and those fragrant nappy sacks, you get through a visit to the loo with ease.
Pefkos itself is an absolute gem of a place, safe and secure. There are no busy night clubs or noisy bars in Pefkos (thanks goodness) just loads of brilliant restaurants, cocktail bars and small shops. We found if you sit down to eat around 7.30pm at any of the restaurants you are able to pick your table. Once your meal has ended there are plenty of cocktail bars to spend the rest of the evening. I would say the resort is ideal for families and for couples who don’t need the nightclub / busy bars. The beach at Lindia Thalassa Resort is just simply beautiful.
There is a regular bus service from Pefkos to Rhodes, Falaraki and Lindos. Lindos (which is only about 20mins away) has the amazing Acropolis and a lovely town centre. Falaraki has a brilliant Water Park just outside the town. The town itself has plenty of cafe / restaurants and loads of nice shops (best to go from mid-morning). If you are going to the water park, to save money I would suggest you use the local taxis to get you there and back. We booked our tickets through the holiday company tour guide but this proved to be €25 dearer and we did not get to the park until after 11am.
Overall Pefkos is a great place to go for a holiday, the weather is fantastic (Hot – Hot – Hot). Lindia Thalassa Resort is a clean and safe place, it is one of the bigger resorts and it’s only about 7 years old and it has that beautiful beach right next to the resort. We will go again.

good clean bright friendly hotel,,,,,,,,,, unless you require any help during the night, and if you do manage to wake the night receptionist (at your peril!!) dont expect him to be either friendly, helpful or even polite.... we arrived after midnight, and after checking in and getting to our rooms, we returned to reception to find the night receptionist had taken over, we asked for the air conditioning to be activated and were told no........ not - no sorry, not - not able to, just no!! The day staff however are great, very helpful and friendly ADVICE:- if you do get air conditioning, we paid 126 euros for 2 weeks, just in one room, and when we tried the remote on the second room, guess what?? it worked, so just pay for one room and try it in the second, may work for you too. The safe rental is expensive too - 46 euros for 2 weeks, so factor these additional 'hidden costs' into your budget. The hotel itself is clean, the staff mainly are friendly and the bar staff at the pool are great. If you want a bed on the beach, (get there early as there isnt too many there) its 8 euros for 2 beds and a brolly per day. Easy money on the private beach but we felt they should be provided free, as the booking costs were more expensive than we have paid previously elsewhere. All in all, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay, plenty of beds round the pool, the pool area is clean, the rooms are clean and fresh looking and the location is great
