Just got back from a week stay at the Amphitriti. What a location for a hotel! Brilliant. Agree with previous guest. Avoid the basement studios. We had problems with large ants. Otherwise room was fine but the terrace is small. Pool area was great. Everyone was really friendly, particularly the scottish receptionist who helped book a table at the best restaurant in perkos called the philosophia. To be honest, didn't have a bad meal out.would also recommend corralli restaurant which is on the road out to lardos. Will be returning to Amphitriti next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on first floor.

We stayed at Amphitriti which overall I liked. It's set in a quiet area, near a really nice beach, Lee Beach. Out of the main entrance turn left then left again up into Pefkos , which is about 800mtrs up a gentle incline or turn right, about 300 mtrs, down to the beach. Lee Beach is a gem. Enough sun beds for the professional sunbathers but plenty of space for anyone else. Pefkos I liked. A short strip with enough bars and restaurants to service one week. I don't think you could find bad food but if you want quality food, eat at the Artemis. Their pork medallions in a honey and whiskey sauce is to die for !! The hotel Amphriti I thought overall was fine. I expected more with all the rave reviews but was not disappointed. It's a three storey complex. The pool and the bar are at road level but this corresponds to level 2 in the hotel. Level 1 is like the basement below ground level. Ok if you want it quiet but not much of a view from your very small patio area. A bit unusual but we did adjust to it but fortunately we had good neighbours. Try for level 2 or 3 if you want a view. Studios are basic but adequate. Toaster and kettle provided !!! Pool good and nice bar which stayed open late. We ate out so didn't try their food. Reception staff a mixed bunch. Scottish lady was kind and helpful the rest were moody. Room cleaned regularly to a good standard and bathroom very clean and no shortage of hot water. You are an 8 euro taxi ride from Lindos.(See price list at taxi rank!!) Worth seeing but my tip is to go early and leave early before the masses arrive as the very narrow but pretty side streets fill up quickly. The airport transfer can be up to an hour and a half depending on the number of drops or pick ups. Overall a good relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Room numbering is not logical with 300s and 100s on ground floor ! Go for second floor (road level...

Arrived late on Saturday night ... the Coach doesn't drop you off at the property as the road is too narrow. Hotel had a courtesy bus but it only took 4 people and luggage at one time so walked with a few of the other guests approx. 300 yards to the hotel along an unlit road.
Booked in only to find we had been given a ground floor room with no view at all, when I had requested a high floor. Pointed this out and was told this was because the electricity had gone off in our room and wouldn't be fixed till lunch time the next day but we could have the room and some torches if we wished. rather than unpack and move again the next day I said the torches would be fine seeing as we would only want a quick shower and a sleep.
Next day as there was no electric we ate out for breakfast but on returning the problem had been fixed as promised and we were happy with the room. Quite basic kitchen facilities but enough to make a simple breakfast of bacon and eggs and sit on our balcony. Beds very hard but this is typical of most budget accommodation in Greece, so was expected. Room was cleaned every day and sheets and towels changed at the same time so cant fault the standard of cleanliness. Overall the Hotel was spotless, pool area lovely and never too crowded with nice comfy loungers. A bit of music wouldn't have gone a miss as not much atmosphere but nice and chilled all the same and drinks and snacks reasonable. We ate out every night so cant comment on the food but a lot of people seemed to eat there.
Hotel in one of the best locations for most things. Bars and restaurants about 2 mins and right opposite Lee beach which is the biggest beach in the resort. Altho we stayed early season 3-11th May quite a few places already up and running but a few more still getting ready so not everything open but enough for a nice quiet chilled out week so we were more than happy
Would definitely return to Pefkos and the Amphitriti.

Room Tip: High floor with a pool or mountain view.. most high floors have a lower number for some reason.

Well, where do I start,I suppose I will start with the transfer to the hotel, from landing at Rhodes it took us nearly 3 hours to get to the hotel,it was organised chaos at the airport and god help anyone travelling in the high season with thomsons. We took advantage of a bargain price last minute booking and to be honest the hotel was quite nice,we were allocated a refurbished room which had a large shared balcony/patio.The breakfast was a cold buffet but plenty and variable. In my opinion, the pool side had far too many beds with fixed umbrellas and was awkward at times trying to position the bed to take advantage of the sun.It was spoilt in the middle of the week by some returning British guests who at 7.30a.m. reserved their 12/14 beds with a folded towel on it ,go for their breakfast, then trundle off to the shop, then return at 10.00a.m.to take possession of their bed,it was like a scene from Benidorm. These same people thought it was acceptable to play football on the patio/terrace without any respect for fellow guests.Pefkos caters for the British tourist trade and should you wish to experience traditional Greece I suggest you give it a miss.Overall the hotel was very good but I think some of the returning guests like the ones I mentioned are going to alienate returning visitors!Just like to add, free WIFI was intermittent for 3 days then non-existent for the remainder of the holiday and there was no sense of urgency to try rectify this!

Its a couple of years since I stayed here having previously stayed for twice a year for many many years with family and friends. Returned with a friend for a predictable week in Pefkos. As ever a fantastic welcome from the family. Some improvements since I've been last - the bar area totally transformed, new sun beds, a bigger breakfast choice, CCTV, key card door locks & free wifi. All good and an okay base for a relaxing week in the sun. Sure there are improvement areas like - more frequent towel changes, better pillows, more reliable wifi, better quality cereals & juices at breakfast - but if it's a good friendly, safe & quiet place to stay you're looking for it remains reliably good! Gone are the days when this was a cheap break through Direct Holidays with Thomsons having pushed the price up with better value for money available elsewhere.

Stayed here for 11 nights late in the season, the location is very good for the beach and town but is also in a nice quiet area.
The room was basic with fairly uncomfortable squeaky single beds pushed together, a small balcony with uncomfortable chairs. The shower was not great and the cleaning of the room not the best, toothpaste on the wall and hair on the clean towels. We don't normally go for package holidays and it just seemed that the hotel didn't try that hard as they are guaranteed the Thomson business, but that said, it was a cheap late deal and you get what you pay for!
Nice pool area with plenty of good quality sun beds and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful.
Pefkos is a nice town with a couple of beaches and plenty of places to eat out for various budgets, we would return to the area but book our own flights and accommodation next time.

Having stayed in this hotel on many occasions I can honesty say that it has to be my perfect holiday chill out location. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much bother for them. The hotel is in a great location and although it is only a 5 minute walk from the village centre and 2 minutes from the beach it sits in a quiet part of the resort. The rooms and public areas are always cleaned to a high standard.Every year the owners improve facilities to make your stay even more enjoyable.A special mention must go to Eric, Katerina, Dimitra and Peter the best barman in Pefkos.
