“A wonderful find!”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

This was our second stay in Pefkos but our first stay here. What a wonderful place that was right in the heart of everything. We found on our arrival we were at the top of the complex which included a small lift ride or "THE STEPS"! This became part of our holiday as my husband was determined to run up the steps by the end of it......He did do after a few "Zombie" cocktails from the wonderful Palm Coacktail bar, which was attached to the resort!!!
It was our first time staying in a studio and although it was was clean and tidy a bit of thought should have been put into cupboard space and lay out.
We had to bring some food out with us as my husband is Coeliac and we had already found out nothing was available to buy wheat free in the local shops. But although the kitchenette had a few cupboards we had to take out things to make space for the food, and prepare food on the table as no workspace.Definately would go for a bigger place next time.
The resort had wonderful settings with fountains and beautifully kept plants and gardens and 3 lovely swimming pools, which were kept tidy at all times.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful at any time of day, especially with us frantically ringing to say the air con wasnt working, only to find it was us being too impatient as you have to wait a few minutes for it to kick in!
There are some wonderful restaurants in Pefkos with Nikolas, Philosopia, Enigma and Artimis Garden being top of our list. Also a big mention to Alexandra's as they were a great find with wonderful food when we arrived as they were the only ones open late and we were starving! We made a return for lunch there at the end of our holiday and was still as good as the first night.
A few trips are a must, Lindos by day and by night, with a meal at Mythos roof garden restaurant (upstairs at the side of the donkey station) as it has the best views for when the sunsets, the glass bottom boat trip from Pefkos to Lindos, and this year we done a 4 x 4 trip, which was recommended by our wonderful Thomson rep Nikki, which took us off the beaten track to some wonderful places that you would normally miss, The 7 Springs including the Black Tunnel walk!!!!.......I did it!
Would definately go back to Pefkos Beach Hotel again......Hopefully soon :)

Room Tip: We enjoyed the rooms at the top of the complex for the views but would not suit anybody that was unf...

We stayed here for the second time this year and were entirely satisfied with our stay. The rooms are cleaned everyday by wonderful staff who always go the extra mile. As anyone who holidays in Greece will know, generally the rooms are fairly basic but this accommodation is minimal but modern and well maintained. We are booking again for next year without a doubt.

Myself and my partner have just returned from our trip to pefkos and had a fab holiday! As a couple in our late 20's we were looking for a chill holiday in the sun with nice restaurants and bars around and thats what we got!
On arrival we received a warm welcome at the reception. We were pleasantly surprised by the room as it was nice and modern, clean with plenty room for clothes etc.
The following day we went a walk around to find many nice eating places and bars that we were looking forward to trying! The pools were nice at the hotel but we couldnt get a bed and was quite noisy with kids (to be expected) . However we found many swimming pools around that you were able to use with no charge and we used the Kelari pool daily which was really nice. The beach was only a ten minute walk away and very nice. However I found it too hot to walk in the sand so only went once!!
The food was very nice in all places we tried but in particular I would recommend enigma, nostalga and artemis. We had also been recommended to try Corralies which is a 10 minute walk away and this was also lovely with huge portions!! The red dragon chinese was also very nice. The only restaraunt we were a little dissapointed in was terpsis.
As advised in other reviews the hill/steps up to the hotel are quite steep (this was advised before booking) there is a lift however which can be used. The air con was 55 euros a tad pricey but worth it for a pleasant nights sleep which we got. Was also comfortable to get ready at night as the air con cooled the room right down.
Overall we had a super holiday in a lovely hotel and great location. I would defo reccommend this to others!!

We arrived at the hotel at about 23:30. Firstly, no welcome drink at reception. We had been informed that a small charge would be made for Air con, however we thought 55 Euros per week expensive, also for Safe add another 15 Euros per week, and for late checkout 35 euros. So for our 2 week, before we even get to our room, we were potentially hit with 175 euros., We only opted for the air con.
We would have expected at least 1 bottle of water in the room on arrival, however nothing.Which we thought was mean. The self catering flats are spacious, and well equipped. Although the furniture and beds are dated. The beds very uncomfortable. We also found the air con to be poor, and you cant leave it on when you go out of the room.
We had opted to stay B&B, the breakfast was good quality and well cooked, however you only get coffee OR fruit juice with the cooked breakfast. Anything else was extra payment. So overall the breakfast disappoints. I checked when we got back, the difference in what we paid for B&B was 6 euros a day each, I would not stay again B&B, you can go to loads of nearby places to get breakfast.
The hotel has many, many steps. So I would not recommend it for anyone who has trouble with steps, there are steps everywhere.
The swimming pools are good with adequate sun loungers and parasols, so even though some people reserve them, you can always get one.
The location is good, 10 minutes to the beach, supermarkets and restuarants within walking distance. A bus stop for a bus to Lindos or Rhodes is just opposite the hotel.
The entertainment is poor, just Sunday night quiz, or Bar B Que Saturday night. Nothing during day.
The reception is modern and clean, and their is a room just behind reception for guest's, however on the one occasion we did try and use this, there was no air con and it was roasting hot.
The hotel is family owned, and they also own the supermarket attached to the hotel, however we found that the prices at their supermarket where about 10% more than the others.
The reasons we would not go back are, additions costs, poor selection for breakfast, too many steps, no drink to welcome even on late arrival. Its a reasonable 3 star hotel, and many people do return. But with a potential 175 euros more than we expected, add on to this the cost of dinner, drinks, lunch, (You dont always want to be cooking when on holiday) we could have gone all inclusive for not much more, and probably cheaper.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not in the rooms at the top of the hill. Go for 2nd floor in any of the blocks ove...

Stayed at Pefkos Beach in July for our summer holiday. Extremely family orientated hotel with 3/4 pools. The larger pools are fantastic and the smaller two are fabulous for children. The pools are set over three levels with plenty of clean sun loungers surrounding the pool. The food and drinks served at the pool bar are reasonably priced and of excellent quality. The staff are lovely, my only issue was the music played at the pool during the day repeated several times a day the whole week. A bit more variety would have been more welcomed.

As for the rooms, we stayed in a family suite with 4 beds. The rooms were clean and we had a fantastic view of the gardens and out over to the beach. The bathroom was beautiful and all facilities worked. The kitchenette was very basic but ideal for what we required.

All of the staff from the cleaning staff, pool/bar staff, receptionists we friendly, polite & customer focused.

The hotel is suitable for families and couples a like.

The hotel is central to all restaurants and bars and literally 5 minutes walk from the beach.

Would recommend this hotel to anybody & ill definitely be going back again!

We (5 year old daughter, my mum & me) went to this hotel back in Aug-Sept last year.
The reception is clean, modern looking & the staff in the whole hotel are lovely. Their is an English gentleman that works in reception & has done for years, so he was good to talk to about places to go etc.
We booked a superior room, then I read the reviews about taking the little lift up the hill (or you could do the dreaded stairs). Before we got there I was a little worried, but also through people are over reacting... they are not haha. BUT you do have the lift, so don't let that put you off having a superior room. The views were lovely, over the hotel, town and sea. Our room had a small but adequate kitchen, a decent size fridge/freezer, pretty bathroom & a partition to separate the bedroom from the living room/2nd bedroom, & then there was our big balcony that was sea view, this was lovely to sit out at night (& feed the cats...if you want! Mum is an animal lover so is my daughter...).
There was 3 swimming pools, each one on a different level, leading down to the street, bar & supermarket that all belonged to the hotel. The bar was modern, cool looking, with white walls, chairs and tables & a few neon lights (not in a tacky way). Lush desserts are served here, dinner wasn't bad either :) In fact, the whole of Pefkos offered great food, didn't have one bad meal. We went to Nikolas' tavern quite a few times (turn left out the hotel, walk straight for 5-10 mins), there are beautiful sunset views to be had here, but it did get VERY busy & people were even booking days in advance for a table! Back to the centre of resort, across from the hotel there was 2 restaurants offering 2 courses for about 9 euros, the meals were ok here, but pay a bit extra to try all the restaurants through Pefkos!
I was thinking about returning next year, but because I've been Rhodes 3 times now over 15 years, I think I need to find my next favourite Greek island or even mainland!
But I do love the island & this resort & hotel

Room Tip: Ask for sea view, front or 2nd block & just go for the superior rooms!

My wife and I have just returned on the 10th July from a 2 week Self Catering holiday on Rhodes. We stayed at the Pefkos Beach apartments in a studio apartment set in lovely gardens and overlooking the sea and the bay of Pefki. The complex is family owned and run to very good standards with excellent reception staff,Yannis,Ray and Andy, all willing to give you whatever help and assistance you might need to enjoy your stay on the Island. We had a great time helped very much by the people mentioned earlier and served very well by all the staff on the complex. Rhodes itself is wonderfull, and Pefkos has become another place we must and will visit again. The Greek people are warm and friendly and laid back, allowing you to really get the most out of your holiday. There are lots of different eateries, taverna's and bars to sample and you never feel pressured or pushed into doing something you don't want to do. We made lots of new friends both greek and ex pat's. Getting around is easy by bus, taxi or on foot. The local beaches are fantastic and a trip to Lindos and Rhodes Town a must. We booked a package with Thomson, but I emailed Yannis on their website to finalise details. A brilliant holiday,1 we can't wait to repeat in the future.

Room Tip: Go on their website you can see the rooms and surroundings. When you have decided email Yannis and a...
