Owner description: The Gaudí Centre Reus is a tribute by the town of this birth to its most famous son. It is the only interpretive centre that deals with the life and works of Gaudí. It is a new facility equipped with the most modern infrastructure and the latest in audiovisual technology, created to open up your senses and mind to new experiences. An experience which allows you to familiarise yourself with Gaudí and the secrets of genius.

Ironically the Gaudi Centre is in the most un Gaudi like building in a lovley square in Reus, it costs 7 euro per adult and has a free audio guide in your choice of language, you walk around and the guide talks to you at intervals. Staff very friendly and helpful, Exhibits can be handled and is visitor friendly, tour takes about 1 haf hours but we took much longer, incidentally we were told it closes for Siesta, thats not caser it stays open all day.

“Visit before Barcelona”
Reviewed April 19, 2012

There's no examples of the master's work in Reus but its worth half a day there to visit the Centre for a bit of background before seeing the real stuff in Barcelona. Other places might pretentiously call it an 'Experience' as it's highly audio visual and the automatic system works well - no punching in numbers off a wall plaque, sensors in the ceiling detect you and start the appropriate bit in your languge. The staff are very helpful, one gets the feeling the town is trying very hard to make something of what it has got, which basically is its Gaudi background.

“Interesting interactive exhibition”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

Very interesting visit to discover the work of Gaudi. Don't expect to find any piece of work by Gaudi. It's an interactive visit, including an introductory film, to discover some unveiled aspects of his work. Personally I found it very interesting and didactic. After the visit, I'm longing to travel to Barcelona again. I will be able to see the Sagrada Familia temple, la Pedrera and the park Güell from a different point of view (among others).
Defintely not to be missed when in Reus. In fact, it's worth a visit if you are in the nearby. Entrance fee for adults is 7€.

“Well worth visiting”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

We went to Reus specifically to see the Gaudi Centre and the town's modernist architecture.
The Gaudi Centre is a very well put-together exhibition space, showing the architect's background, achievements & commitment, and introducing visitors to the imagination and skill he applied in getting his buildings to match is vision.
The town of Reus is busy and buzzy, and the Modernism Trail is full of delights.
