This hotel is excellent, we had our own llittle apartment(which i think all their accommadation is) Very very clean and comfortable , well equiped kitchen area , modern bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries, large comfortable bed, the other furniture was modern and ensured an enjoyable stay. The gardens are very interesting and we had comfortable garden furniture to relax on and enjoy the views. We stayed two nights and breakfast was very good both mornings , with a good choice of meats cheeses and fresh breads etc.The owners are very hospitable , giving lots of advice about local restaurants and services , we bought Saltzburg cards (as they reccommended )Superb, we saw and did lots for the price of the card, exceptional value for money .We visited a local restaurant they recommended ,which was superb, also plenty of leaflets in hotel which they are only to happy to give advice and directions for. Would we stay here again, without a doubt, very impressed with the hotel as a whole.Ideal to stay at while touring the area lots to do and see. PS take the cable car to the top of undenberg mountain views out of this world, and the Grossgrockner pass is well worth the trip including a trip to the glacier. leaflets supplied in hotel.Enjoy your stay ,like we did

Room Tip: Ground floor with patio doors opening onto the garden. Where you can relax with a cool wine.

A great location to explore Bavaria and the Salzburg area. The owners of this B&B made us feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable, clean and functional. The breakfast is adequate and the free wifi is useful. Recommended.

I'd say it's more like B&B than hotel but either way it's a perfect place. We stayed there on our way from Vienna to Salzburg just to sleep and go further but in this short time were very impressed with our hosts' hospitality. The hotel building is very interesting (either inside and outside) and our room had large balcony with magnificent view over the mountains. Also the room was very simple but neat. Good breakfast and excellent mood in the morning and we were ready to go.

This is a very high standard hotel, refurbished in 2011 to a good modern standard, and run by a nice friendly family. Very high standard family room with two bedrooms, two TVs and wi-fi. Small, but useful, kitchen and nice modern bathroom. Lots of information and help and advice available. Close to motorway, Salzburg and convient for Berchtesgaden etc. It's a bit secluded and away from shops and restaurants, so a car is useful, but the bus into Salzburg is convenient.

I am a little late in writing this review as we were there in the April, 2011. However, I'm sure my review is still an accurate depiction of this wonderful hotel.

I wanted my family to experience a true "gasthaus" while traveling through Austria and this hotel was perfect! It was very modern and clean yet had the charm and ambiance of the old.
The owners were extremely gracious hosts and ensured all our needs were met.
Breakfast was traditional (breads, cheeses, cold cuts etc..) and delicious!
The location was great as well - just a short drive to downtown Salzburg along with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

I would most definitely stay at this property again the next time I visit the Salzburg area.
