Lovely local sandy wide beach where you can walk for miles, probably into Le Touquet!. There is no shelter or sun lounge hire at this beach so you will need to bring parasols, chairs etc etc. Good free parking adjacent to the beach and within short walking distance to café and shops. Worth a visit if you would like to spend a day on the beach.

A nice long and sandy beach. It can be windy so lots of people kite or kite surf. It is also handicap friendly. There are also cabins to change and WC.

Look past the tatty shops, rubbish parking, dogs poo and the smell of urine, walk onto a long sandy beach. The sea was clear and for August ok. It does go out a very long way, it has little water pools and channels to play in for a while. For August there were a lot of people but so much space it never felt cramped. Take kites, spades etc it's great for a good beach holiday.

Berck exists purely, simply (and only) because it has a beach that can accomodate a hundred million people at one time! The beach is about 2 kilometres wide and, when the tide is out, about a kilometre long! It is sandy. The promenade is filled with lots of things to aimlessly spend money on. If you want to, you can eat fish and chips at Sunset for 18 Euros... When it rains, or is windy (or, frequently, both) the beach becomes an eerily empty expanse of northingness. The Bay of Authie at the extreme southern end of Berck beach is far sandier, far more varied (dunes, rocks and forests) and the sand is far softer. Fortunately, walking along Authie Bay takes the kind of effort only a small percentage can be bothered with!

However at low tide expect a long walk to sea edge. Dog poo may be visible. The french still have probless with their attitude to picking it up, especially if it is a man. As practically all people who are there are french expect to go along with their ways.. i.e. Unlike the English they do not mind being in close proximity to others. Think french and everything will be fine
